Project: Earth was a group of well-funded radical environmentalists willing to go to any lengths to protect Mother Nature. They hired a squad of elemental-themed former super-villains to act as their enforcers, rebranded as the Force of Nature. The New Warriors often faced hard choices over whether to consider the Force of Nature eco-terrorists or freedom fighters. The Force varied in how devoted they were to the Earth or to their checkbooks, and Project: Earth hasn't been heard from in many years. During Dark Reign, Norman Osborn revived the Force of Nature as the Oregon Initiative team and used them during the Siege of Asgard.
