We are celebrating pride all month long over at our sister site, UXN, and while the Avengers don't have the same richness of LGBTQIA+ characters to showcase, there are certainly some interesting queer characters associated with the Avengers, some of whom are joining our first ever Pride Month. Interestingly, our first release is in fact a mutant - one who has never been associated with the X-Men, but has certainly made her mark in the world of Earth's Mightiest. From humble beginnings to terrorizing the Hollywood Hills while dressed like a moth, this mutant would later join the criminal group called the Night Shift, foes of the West Coast Avengers. Never truly evil, this woman was simply looking for her next thrill - and she eventually found that as a member of Hawkeye's Thunderbolts, where she transformed herself into a vampy, sex-positive vigilante not afraid to use her body to achieve her goals - and try to seduce her male and female teammates. She's remained an on-again, off-again nuisance for the Avengers, but one of Marvel's earliest LGBTQIA+ characters who has opened the door for others like her. She is... SKEIN (just don't call her Gypsy Moth!)
