Captain America: Brave New World reportedly introduces Sidewinder to the MCU this week, so today we highlight the Serpent Society's role in the comics! A super-villain trade union patterned after the Avengers, the Serpent Society offered profit and security for any mercenary willing to dress like a snake. They were most effective in the early years, thanks to Sidewinder's business acumen and teleporting ability regularly freeing his team from prison. The Serpents have proven less effective since, co-opted by the Viper's anarchy or Pit Viper's Satanism, working best when they remain focused on the almighty dollar.

Re: THE SERPENT SOCIETY Villains Team
After reading this it made me sad how little the MCU utilized the Serpent Society in the movie. Would have loved a lot more material closer to the comics. I didn't know that much about them before reading this article and they are a gloriously goofy villain team.
Books to be excited for:
Immortal X-men, X-men Red, She-Hulk, The Fall of X

Always been a fan of the Serpent Society but am missing quite a few appearances. This was a terrific article, as always. Well done, Monolith.
