Once considered Charles Xavier's greatest foe, the Shadow King has had a lasting impact on the X-Men and many of their members. He possessed Karma for months, tormented Storm as a child, and nearly killed his hated rival's son, Legion. A powerful telepath from the onset, Amahl Farouk later proved he was also supported by a malevolent force independent of his own abilities. Farouk found some measure of peace on Krakoa, after centuries of being twisted to the Shadow King's ends, but that lingering fount of pure evil can never be truly destroyed, and will inevitably return through one host vessel or another.

I have been a fan of the character for years, considering him one of the most effective X-villains. I had not realized that he has become an obsessive stalker to the likes of Psylocke and Storm, seemingly able to locate them anywhere and at any time. Single-minded, isn't he?
