Introduced as the first member of a new era of Beta Flight, this purple-skinned mutant took her obvious mutation in stride as she worked alongside Canada's Premiere Super Heroes, Alpha Flight, for the betterment of her nation. Several tragic events befell this young woman, and despite never being promoted to a full-fledged member of Alpha Flight, she proved her worth time and again. But as time passed, she grew into a bitter purple woman, and fought against her former idols. Eventually she found herself working with a new sanctioned Thunderbolts team in New York City, distancing herself from her past, while being celebrated for her present.
