UXN/MAN sites running slow - FIXED!

we are looking at some general fixes to improv but its been mainly on the admin / editing side, site side in general seems t obe working fine ( or at least as far as i can tell).

over the last few days its been a combination of our hosting network provider and google issues.
after google services came back ( manages the site ads) I had to reboot the server the websites for it to come back online - i think it was about 1 hour complete outage but had bee nslow before.

During the Vengeance draft, it happened about 3x that the site wasn’t responding as soon as I hit the „Submit“ button

However, the posts were successfully submitted when I checked later.

The outage during the Google issues on Monday makes sense, as that was one of the downtimes for both the site and the forum, and I just assumed you were using a Google hosting solution, but thanks for the update. I'll post on the thread if I notice anything else.

from what I found from the hosting company was that a number of their services were impacted by the outage and it had a knock on effect, some servers came back straight away, others didn't, specifically "older" servers. I try to change the underlying hostined every 3 years if i can to reduce costs or increase performance / storage for the websites - the database for the sites itself is over 4GB in size, our very first hosting in 2000,i only had a total of 500mb for pages/images & DB!

Unfortuantely the issue has been reoccuring for the past week. It's seems more likely to occur when I am visiting the forum and the site parallel in separate windows, or the forum and facebook, if not all three in separate tabs.

I get the same timeout messages as before, and switching to another IP, it loads the content immediately.

hi Lavettye, seen a similar behaviour this week and getting erros in the monitoring. ... investigating...
