Our next Dawn of X update revisits the confusing tale of the original M, her sisters Nicole and Claudette St. Croix. When 16 year old Monet went missing, her 8 year old twin sisters were miraculously able to combine and pose as her. Serving on Generation X first as M and later as Penance, the twins faded into obscurity as that title was cancelled. If the baby Penances roaming the Akademos Habitat are any indication, however, the St. Croix siblings are reunited once again. https://uncannyxmen.net/characters/st-croix-twins

I don't see any new information since House of M. Was this a refresh for images and formatting? Have the characters not appeared since the creation of the spotlight?
I always wondered if you guys would make a Penance/Hollow spotlight or fold that character into the twins given how entwined they are to each other. Similar to how you did Mondo 1 and 2 as one spotlight. I still don't really understand the whole Penance situation as an individual character and nobody did much with the character other than have her appear in group shots. Plus things just got even more complicated with Monet's power and name change.

I agree with what sambadaemon posted elsewhere that, narratively speaking, the only thing that makes sense is if Hollow was the St. Croix's mother. Her being some third party or a generic independent consciousness just doesn't sell as a story. But we're so far past the point where the average fan remembers Hollow, and with Monet now "becoming" Penance, it's just so unlikely she'll ever get explained.
