Wade Wilson, Deadpool. Avengers mission report: "So there we are trying to save people in Boston (which is apparently something I do now) when who crashes my Avengers mission? Nathan Dayspring Askani'son Gesundheit! Always fun to see Nate, but when we get home Old Man Rogers invites him to stick around on the Unity Division. We joke that any team that would take me would take anyone, but who ever thought Cable would be the punchline?!

Nice! And now he's ready for his big screen debut.

I imagine a time traveling character can always be tricky to update given the lack of dedicated forward continuity. Though, I'll have to reread the beginning parts of the spotlight and see if any of his past was actually expanded in the last 8 years.

Cable is the character that best embodies all that went wrong with the X-Men. Which is not to detract from your marvelous work on the article. Indeed, Cable’s preposterous biography makes this article all the more impressive.
