Despite his impact on the X-Men and mutants as a whole, Bolivar Trask has had relatively few appearances after his initial three issues early in the X-Men's publication history. It is definitely quality over quantity with this man, though. Not only did he create the Sentinels and the Master Mold, but he was one of the earliest humans to spread the narrative that mutants would use their powers to take over humanity and replace them. This message was truly more devastating to mutants existence than the robots he brought forth, though those also led to massive casualties (16,521,618 at the time he was resurrected as part of Bastion's human council). With a few flashback appearances, and a brief resurrection by the techno-organic virus, a picture has emerged of a man driven by guilt over his own children and fear for humanity.
