Kyle Richmond of Other Earth was a costumed crime fighter who vowed to bring down evil and corruption. As a founding member of the Squadron Supreme, he quickly gave up his spandex for a business suit, entering the dangerous world of politics. He believed he could make more of a difference for people in need this way. His dedication and hard work saw him elected President - and that was just the beginning. His former teammates in the Squadron Supreme sought control of their world, using the Utopia Principle to bring about order. Kyle vehemently opposed this, believing that peace on Earth merely handed to society was not a peace on earth earned. Returning to Nighthawk identity, he worked behind the scenes, assembling a group of misfits called the Redeemers to take down the Squadron and end Utopia. This led to a civil war, and much, worse.
