UNUSUAL SUSPECTS #6 -- DAZZLER I

Post by Monolith »

This non-mutant Suspect was the first and criminal Dazzler, Warren Worthington's evil uncle who tried to "Hamlet" his way into the family fortune after arranging for his brother's death. Burt Worthington went unaccounted for for many years, until Chuck Austen of all writers made references to him in Uncanny X-Men and Exiles following the Dominant Species arc. This story has been largely abandoned ever since, and so we may never know how Dazzler the First got his powers, or whether he will ever get out of prison.

Is there anyone still perfect at this point? I would have figured Bedlam would have been the wall for most if not all.

There were only two correct guesses for Dazzler, and only two for Friday's release, our Unusual Avenger.

Not neccessarily. I got Bedlam right, but failed on Explodey Boy.

I could kick myself for not getting Dazzler. That hand gesturing was distinct enough for me to know that I had seen it before, and after the reveal I knew right away that the image is based on the cover of Hidden Years #14. I really enjoyed that series when it was released, and actually studied the covers closely, as they all continued a hidden cove number as if it was a continuation of the original X-Men run. (So #1 had a hidden #67 on, it, #2 a hidden #68 and so on)
