Introduced during the 1970's, Brother Voodoo had limited success as a houngan super-hero, quickly being relegated to a series of guest appearances over the next few decades. After Secret Invasion, however, DOCTOR Voodoo became the new Sorcerer Supreme, combining the servant of the Vishanti and the Loa into one man. Although he was temporarily killed to make room for Stephen Strange's return, Doctor Voodoo was soon resurrected and enjoyed healthy runs with the Avengers Unity Division and a romance with the Scarlet Witch. As the headmaster of Strange Academy in his hometown of New Orleans, Doctor Voodoo has made a home for himself in the annals of Marvel lore.
