Tick...Tick...BOOM! Has it really been 15 years since we last updated you on the adventures of the truly outrageous most fabulous New Mutant of all time? Sorry about it. During this time Tabby has developed a love of sleeping, drinking and more sleeping. And more drinking. She's worked with a number of X-Teams lately, but for some reason always feels like an outsider. She has traveled to many countries, realms and even deep into space, but continues to feel unfulfilled. What's troubling Tabby? And what time is the next party? Crack open a can of TAB and enjoy the latest adventures of everyone's favorite bubble-gum chewing, plasma exploding 1980s' babe, BOOM-BOOM!

Boom Boom really needs to appear as a regular member in a title. The fact she tends to appear for small arcs or limited series means that the writers haven’t done any decent character work in years. She’s kinda fallen into the party girl personality.

That drives me so crazy. Current characterization (ever since NEXTwave) has her as a complete moron. She wasn't like that early on. She was ditzy, but it was clear that it was an act because of her teenage years and she wasn't actually that dumb. She was a highlight of early X-Force.

I liked her in NextWave, but yeah they've gone a bit overboard with it. Also NextWave was a purely comedy title, and it doesn't fit with the flavor of most X-Books.
