I was quite shocked at the time when they killed off Sammy. In hindsight he was the teaser for Kyle and Yost’s brutal New X-Men run.

Chuck Austen's run was .... interesting.... but i think the changing artists didn't help either

Poor Sammy...

I have a soft spot for Austen's run because they were some of the first comics I read. The Squidboy and Juggernaut dynamic was definitely one of the plots I enjoyed the most.

I liked Squidboy too, and really liked Juggs as a good guy.

The other Austen stuff, not so much, but he nailed that part.
