Yuriko Oyama was once myopically devoted to avenging her father's honor by reclaiming the Adamantium bonding process stolen from his notes. She blamed Wolverine for being the unwilling recipient of that process, and intended to strip his bones to redeem the father who always mistreated her. Lady Deathstrike outgrew her vendetta against Logan, but failed to find anything else worth pursuing in life. A hollow shell of a woman, she has no friends and no allies, yet in the 21st century she has fought alongside the X-Men as often as against them. She doesn't do this out of a sense of morality or sentiment, but because nothing she does matters to her anyway. What becomes of a life of honor when it is without purpose? What's the point of anything... in the end?
