One of the Avengers' greatest foes, Ultron is what happens when a biochemist decides to create the first living robot! To his eternal shame, Doctor Hank Pym's "son" is based on his own brain wave patterns, only Ultron quickly became smarter and (arguably) crazier than his creator. After a few dozen upgrades, Ultron is still evolving and his Ultron Imperative ensures that contingency plans will always bring him back after each death. Once he wiped out life on Earth, and only by breaking the timestream itself did humanity bounce back from the brink. In recent years, Ultron has proven more open to change, with versions of the robot joining the West Coast Avengers and Avengers, Inc. However, there will always be "old code" out there that could bring back classic Ultron, and his final form has yet to be witnessed.
