MACHINE MAN Spotlight (We Love A.I. Month begins!)

To coincide with the premiere of VisionQuest, this month we're spotlighting the electronic minds and sentient machines who inhabit the worlds of the Avengers and the X-Men. To kickoff, let's start with a character who has ties to both! X-51 (though he prefers "Aaron Stack") was a robot who became a hero but only wanted to be human. Machine Man started early forcing Congress to debate whether he was property or person. He later received an X-Men spin-off title in the M-Tech line after being infused with Sentinel nano-technology. X-51 has had a confusing few decades, partly because of an unclarified plot where multiple versions of Machine Man have been running around for years without crossing paths. So which Machine Man are you dealing with? Depends on if he calls you fleshbags!
