This peculiar young mutant was introduced in the seminal Grant Morrison/Frank Quietly X-Men run. Initially she conceived as a reborn version of Charles Xavier's evil sister, Cassandra Nova, though that story-line was dropped and over the years she has developed as her own distinct character as an innocent powerhouse who always stands with the mutant race but most importantly her best friend, Martha Johansson.
