Not every Hyperion fell from the stars. Some were created from extra-dimensional matter and implanted with memories that weren't his own. Although he was inspired by the heroic exploits of the Hyperion of Earth-S, this Hyperion was created specifically for nefarious reasons, as a member of the Grandmaster's Squadron Sinister. When the Squadron Sinister went their separate ways, the Grandmaster's Hyperion found himself hellbent on getting revenge for the destruction of his own home world - at least what he thought was his own world. His mad quest saw him encounter Thundra, and when he was pulled into Other Earth, he wondered why he never created an alter ego for himself, like the Squadron whom inspired him. Working with Master Menace, the longtime enemy of this world's Hyperion, Grandmaster's Hyperion took his place, and pose as him as a member of the Squadron Supreme. Fantastic work on the event month everyone. I think the original 12 issue maxi series of the Squad from the 80s is one of the low key best Marvel stories from that era. Glad to see the team get the spotlight and learn more about them.
