The Living Laser is one of the Avengers' oldest foes, although he's never quite excelled like others. His initial obsession with the Wasp was a role given to Whirlwind in the long run. He's often served as just another body for the Masters of Evil, Lethal Legion, Mandarin's Minions, Batroc's Brigade, and more. The Laser's stand-out period was as an energy being who longed for his humanity, tormenting Tony Stark out of jealousy and small-minded hatred. Sadly, this condition was cured more-or-less behind-the-scenes, removing his pathos and leaving behind another super-villain with too much power and not enough imagination to use it.
