Vance Astrovik had a vivid imagination and idolized super heroes, particularly Captain America. He never let his troubled family life impact his altruistic tendencies and when his mutant power emerged, in a truly bizarre manner, he literally approached Captain America and asked to join the Avengers. While he was initially rejected, he did go on to found a team of teen heroes who lived their 90s lives to the max. A high profile drama saw this heroic young man emerge from prison with a newfound sense of purpose, that one day saw him eventually live out his dream of becoming an Avenger. It's a shame that Justice has been largely in limbo for such a long time. He's a pretty cool character but I guess writers would rather focus on more popular/new/relevant characters?
Thanks for a fun event. I only read a bit of the original New Warriors run and actually became more aware of them through the Avengers Initiative comic.
