Andrew Hamish Graves faced a tragic childhood marked by severe abuse and neglect. His violent upbringing and genetic mutations led him to become a sociopath, manipulating others to commit murder. A former member of the Acolytes, Spoor's violent acts included massacres before his eventual capture. While in captivity, he became a kind of “Hannibal Lector” type for the members of Excalibur and, despite attempts at rehabilitation, Spoor's desire for death (notably his own), made him a tragic and dangerous figure in X-history.
