The great nation of Krakoa offered a new lease on life for many mutants. Mutants thought lost to time. Mutants who no longer had their powers. And mutants whose lives were cut short by one means or another. Perhaps one of the biggest examples of a mutant whose (young) life was tragically ended, this former student at the Xavier Institute had a very hard life. His obvious mutation made him easy pickings for bullies and abuse at the hands of his own father. But when he found a friend in the X-Men's Juggernaut, this young mutant sadly died thinking that the Juggernaut had betrayed him. Sammy is one of the characters I kinda wished stayed dead. His original death was so shocking and brutal for Cains character. The writers brought him back but no one has done anything of note with him.
