Teleporter Week continues with the Acolytes' transport specialist, Amelia Voght. A cynic and idealist who has a complicated past with both men, Amelia may be stunned and thrilled to see Xavier and Magneto finally working together for the greater good of the mutant race. Voght's militant history with the Acolytes made her an ideal partner for S.W.O.R.D.'s intergalactic assassin, Khora of the Burning Heart, leaving Krakoa's mark on known space "for the greater good."

Just for my own curiosity, how is her last name pronounced? In my head I've always pronounced it like "Vot". Is that right?

I thought it was "Vote" but it could easily be "Vot".

For some reason, I always misspelled her name as "Voight" as a kid, so I say "Voy-t"...like Voyager.

Voght and Voight are a (neither rare nor very common) last name in german speaking countries. It goes back to the term Vogt, which several centuries back was a title for a high-ranking civil servant of noble descent. There's still a region in Germany called Vogtland to this day.
Because of that, I always assumed Amelia was supposed to be American with German or Austrian ancestors, I I always assumed the pronounciation was still German, which is about foe-g-d
The pronounciantion in german for Voght and Voight is the same, its one of the rare case where the "i" is mute, just prolonging the vowel before it.

I've always pronounced it 'Vote' as well, I've been wrong about the pronunciation of character names several times before though.
