The Voice of Sol, the Regent of Mars, Hadari Yao, the Wind-Rider... STORM. Ororo Munroe has left her past as Queen of Wakanda behind her to become a ruler in her own right. As Krakoa was formed, Storm initially served with her friend Kate Pryde and the Marauders, but her position in their society was destined to grow. With her Omega-class mutation, personal fighting skills and unbreakable will, Storm ascended to the Great Ring of Arakko to rule over the lost nation of warrior mutants. By declaration of Krakoa and S.W.O.R.D., her position also makes her representative for the entire Sol System to the greater galaxy. From the Shi'ar to the Snarks, all races of the universe will know that the Goddess speaks for man.

Re: Spotlight Update On...STORM!
I'm not positive on the validity of these rumors, but supposedly Hickman had plans for Storm that got rejected by Marvel editors. Storm was apparently supposed to become pregnant by Black Panther, to be revealed in the Giant-Size X-men issues. If this was true it would explain some of the weird writing choices in those issues and would make her decision to refuse to die much more understandable if she was carrying an unborn child. I imagine in this scenario, the Black Panther series would have also been connected to this plot and maybe a rewrite is why those final issues were so delayed.
Books to be excited for:
Immortal X-men, X-men Red, She-Hulk, The Fall of X

I never read that. That's so interesting. But other than that, kudos to this massive update. Storm has been on such a great arc these past few years, it's hard to believe how sparse her development had become by the Extinction Team era.
I really wanna blow your mind
but I haven't got the time.

Re: Spotlight Update On...STORM!
I've done the last two Storm Updates, and it has really surprised me how often modern Storm has had to "justify" being a leader among the X-Men. The cult-like atmosphere of Cyclops's loyalists during the Security Recon Team was bizarre. Storm being timid about "forming" a strike team in the X-Men (4th series), like she needed permission from someone (Logan?) even though she was headmistress and the MF-ing Windrider. Storm on the verge of a breakdown over her abilities as leader in Extraordinary X-Men. I'm so glad to see her getting the recognition she deserves in recent months.

Re: Spotlight Update On...STORM!
At least during the EXM era her low point made some sense because she was leader during such a really shitty point…and given some of Cyclops’ choices during the Bendis years, I read that as him going through a slow breakdown of losing his shit right before dying basically. And of course Xavier had his breakdowns. So at some point all x-leaders be on the verge of saying “eff it” lol
From The Ashes Books I like: X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, Exceptional X-Men, X-Force, Dazzler, and NYX…so far, so good.
