Oh I thought I made it clear that I wasn’t saying they have romantic affections, sorry if I wasn’t clear. I was saying there is a love there (or affection) but not like the “hey I want to bone you” kind.
Morrison Era 2001-2005, Decimation Era from 2005-2012, Bendis Era 2012-2016, M-Pox era 2016-2017, and Resurrxion 2017-2019, Hickman Era 2019-?

oh ok. I was confused by the married comment. So many of these threads devolve into the polyamory conversation that I just assumed lol.

Lmao

No what I was saying was that with Meggan, I think, you’d get some story-beat about her marriage and her relationship with Apoccy, even if there is no sexual attraction (not to mention that Brian is a human), whereas I like having Rictor because even if romantic comes up we don’t touch that topic.

Idk, I get what you’re saying but I’ve had wayyyy less problem with Howard’s ambition and ideas. And the Rictor one is one of my favorite even...

So are all three of the Braddocks in on the plan from the get-go? Because that's the only way I can justify Betsy acting like such a brat early on. The stuff between Betsy and Jaime when she's in the cell seems to imply that they made up the plan later, but Brian seems to be in on it before then, so... I dunno. I still found having alt-versions of Gambit/Rogue/Jubilee/Rictor become Captain Britains incredibly stupid, so hopefully this is the end of that plotline. And the whole thing always makes me feel like I skipped an issue. I think it's just an aspect of Howard's writing at this point. At this point I think I'll drop the book after the crossover, which is a shame because I really dig the art.

Also, why the hell would the Sword of Might be from Galador? I assume that's just a straight-up error.

Actually I also got the vibe that they came up with the plan later.
As I don't read the Excalibur series,I had to look up whether the Captain Britain Corps were the real deal and was wondering how Rictor got well so soon. Though I should have figured they were altreals, by the lack of Betsy's reaction to Jamie offing Jubilee. 🙄

On a side note I like the Braddock siblings on the same side. It's nice to see the House of Braddock iso the House of Summers.

I also thought it was weird reading the Sword of Might hailing from Galador. That is new, right?

It’s new that it’s from Galador. Although, I suppose there’s something to be said about sufficiently advanced technology being indistinguishable from magic?
