X-Men Red #9
WHY IS ROBERTO DACOSTA SO HOT????
I love me some smart Sunspot.

So on one hand we have the existence of a being who can reset the entire timeline, destroying everything…, and on the other hand we have a few mind wipes and some gaslighting. You're right, totally evenly weighted.

I saw this on reddit and went "Oh, God."
Also, did Brand just conspire to murder Xandra? I only saw the reveal and the previous page. Why is she so God damned terrible

Which I feel like if you’ve only ever read X-books you would never know that.

I love that Sunspot has been elevated to a semi-major player. I only wish Sam had been elevated with him. Though it wouldn't really match Sam's character or his arc to really not be THE leader.

Berto is pretty cool here. Wish it was a character I liked more being elevated, but honestly it works for him. This is just such a good book.
Re: X-Men Red #9
This was wonderful. Ewing is absolutely killing it on this title and I think this continues to be the strongest of the X-Books. The art’s beautiful, the story is tightly wound and the intrigue is on another level. Ugh. I love this title so hard.

Finally have some reference to Deathbird’s child. Last we saw it was still in an egg.
I love Sunspot being the master schemer but I have to wonder how they fix a problem like Vulcan. Either he has a major lobotomy or he is killed and thrown down the far end of the resurrection queue.

Well actually a 3rd option he is cast in the pit are they still sending Mutants there. I do actually like Vulcan and hope he sticks around a while it was a great plot twist actually.Gremlin wrote: ↑07 Dec 2022, 23:32Finally have some reference to Deathbird’s child. What for? He hasn't broken any of Krakoa's laws. While they tend to be... loose with interpretations of the rules they really only place people there if they've broken one.

Xavier/Magneto put Melter in the hole just for wanting to be a bigger part of Krakoa as well as Maddison Jeffries. Do you really think that Vulcan would not feel his wraith if he tried to harm his daughter?tokenBG1009 wrote: ↑08 Dec 2022, 19:17What for? He hasn't broken any of Krakoa's laws. This could all actually be a simulation in Vulcan's mind though as Xavier said he was trying to help him perhaps he is trying to undo the psychic damage that has been done to him? I hope so as Xavier owes him.

Re: X-Men Red #9
This series is certainly not a simulation given everything thats happened that has no bearing on Vulcan.
But yeah Token, they really wouldn’t have reason to put him down there, yet. Now it’s possible if he kills Xandra and starts slaughtering mutants.

Re: X-Men Red #9
Well my reasoning was Xavier placed Vulcan in a deep psychic illusion which has also revealed all of Brand's machinations in one go from Vulcan's mind in order to help him.Blackcyclops wrote: ↑08 Dec 2022, 20:02This series is certainly not a simulation given everything thats happened that has no bearing on Vulcan.

I admit it is far fetched but it would be nice to see Xavier trying to help a deeply troubled and disturbed mutant he helped to create as well. If I'm right you owe me!
I am 100% convinced Vulcan will end up in the Pit as Xavier is becoming a dictator and won't tolerate his atitude anymore.

I'd actually like that idea because if shows Brand getting out played at her own game.

That’s the outcome that everyone wants. But this is a rematch. And he just breezed through Nova and Gladiator.

Well think he cheated a bit with Gladiator and used his powers to alter his mind.
Nova he just drained the power out of him.
