Hellions #12

Post by Flapflop » 02 Jun 2021, 13:33

So Havok
Spoiler: show
still wants to resurrect Maddy, i see a new Inferno coming for real
And what did they see? Again we are left in guesses. Stay tuned for Planet Size X-men probably.

Like how the diffrent issues in this event basically give a diffrent perspective of what happend on one night and leave us with questions or answering some from previous entries.
"There are some things you're better off not knowing. Believe me. You keep this up and soon...bang bang...you'll cry Havok!."

Overall a very good issue,
Spoiler: show
Really enjoyed it especially Nanny shadowing/slagging of Sinister all the time he is trying to talk to anyone important and then having Exodus show up to make sure he didn't lose her was priceless.
Does anyone know why Roulette and Catseye have it in for Empath?

Also who was Dani talking to?

As he said, he tried to force them (and Tarot) to harm each other awhile back. It's what got him placed on the team.

Yess... sorry thought it was something worse but yeah could see a lot of Mutants having it in for Empath. Does anyone know who Exodus was talking to at 10:45?

Never mind the Mystique and Moira promo image, more demons and babies?

Anyway, so the ripped apart Sinister is back! That is going to get spicy!

Also, what did Kwannon mean about David? Must be something that happened in X-Factor.

I do love the small character things here:

Issue of the week for me. This managed to hit the write notes of being fun, funny, and actually really touching in parts too. It was nice to see Wildchild having some strong plot beats, as well as the continued flirtation between Kwannon and Greycrow.

It was fun actually and carried on the general theme of the Hellions being dark comedy? Did feel for Wild child and Aurora but could understand why it went that way.

It was also interesting to see the mutants interacting with the human guests as well as the Marvel superheroes. Sinister explanation of himself as a god and a king to Thor and Tchalla was pretty funny once Nanny ruined it.

Fun issue and a good palette cleanser after Beast in X-Force. I dig the Kwannon/Greycrow relationship, and this issue also finally made me care about Wild Child, and take a liking to Nanny (breaking off a bottle to cut Sinister goes a long way.)

I really want to know what Nanny looks like under the shell, now. Because what I'm picturing, combined with her dialogue, is hilarious.

I always thought Wildchild was a hero? the only time saw him as a bad guy was during the Romulus event with Wolverine.

I heard about Wild Child recently and someone explained to me that he is a teenager version or a "diet"/"light" version of Sabretooth.

Didn't he had some type of association with Sabretooth?

Didn't Sabretooth mentor him or train him or something?

Or he took him under his wing?

Also, to me at least, the fact that Wild Child and Aurora had a relationship is really surprising.

I am not too familiar with Wild Child's history, but to me, just like Empath, he seems like a "young hero" like someone who debuted in the 80s or 90s like the Generation X teens and the New Mutants teens and now, in this day and age, one could argue that they are close to the same age, even though there is like a 10 year difference amongst them, roughly.

I always thought Aurora was an "older" superhero like Jean Grey or Storm or Emma Frost?

Ever since I knew about Northstar, I always thought he was in his early 40s or early 50s. I thought he looks young because of his powers, I guess? And maybe because he takes care of his body really well....................

So, in my mind, I thought Wild Child and Aurora had a relationship when she was in her early to mid 30s or 40s or whatever and Wild Child was only a teenager or barely a legal adult.

So, i was really surprised but that is only because I am not really familiar with these two characters.

I am more familiar with Northstar because he is a member of the X-Men and he is the first gay character in mainstream comic books.

The only thingS I know about Aurora is that she has multiple personality disorder, she was abused as a child, Northstar is her twin, they have the same powers, and they are descendent of fairies (?) and they have some sort of connection to Asgard, Asgardian mythology, and Loki (I think?).

Can somebody clarify more on Wild Child''s relationship with Aurora?

Other than what was shown in this issue?

Aurora seems to like feral men, apparently.

Well there is a great spotlight on both characters on UXN that I will link to:
https://uncannyxmen.net/characters/aurora
https://uncannyxmen.net/characters/wild-child

But 2 big things, Aurora and Northstar are not fairies and Wild Child was only subservient to Sabes in the AoA timeline.

Wild Child is not a teen Sabretooth either.

I was wandering are the Sinister clones the same person or completely different entities?

Is it possible we have not seen the original Sinister at all but they are all clones?
