Why isn't Duggan the writer credited in the Marauders issue? Has he been replaced?

So it's just for an issue then? Wasn't Ayala the writer for the new book with the cosplayers? Maybe this is their introduction.

I have to be honest, I'm less excited about this crossover than I thought I would be. Maybe it's the forced hiatus. Maybe it's the feeling that with so many titles and writers involved it's unlikely to be a very focused story. Maybe it's because I still have no clue what this is even about other than a general tarot thematic. Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I'm pretty sure that book got nixed.

The cover to X OF SWORDS: STASIS #1 (gorgeous!) depicts our new foes who hail from Arrako and we even get their names. A few thoughts:
1. There is no Famine or Pestilence.
2. While I’m usually dubious about revelations guaranteed to “shock,” I’m genuinely excited to learn the identity of this mysterious leader.
3. Who are the rest of these characters? The First Horsemen’s offspring? These character designs are outstanding.

My feeling too... usually when a book crossovers amongst so many titles with so many creative teams, it's not a good thing.

The lack of explanation also has me a bit worried that there's not really a strong hook. Then again, other things that have seemed like strong hooks end up being disappointing when it doesn't live up to the hook (looking at you, Age of X-Man) so maybe that's a good thing. Also gives time to build it back up after the hiatus.

Excited about this too. Indeed Famine and Pestilence are missing . Maybe they are also familiar faces and therefor kept out?
Could their mmysterious leader be
Spoiler: show
Moira
?
That would explain why it's clasified!

It might be possible that these Horsemen didn’t have a Pestilence or Famine or maybe they died and were replaced by their children with different names?

If the leader IS who you posted in your spoiler tag, I will be less than enthused. I still pretty much dislike Hickman for the X-Men and while I don't fully hate the new direction or anything, I really, really dislike what he has done to that particular character as it frankly ruins everything that's really compelling about said character's purpose, narrative arc, and overall place in the mythos. Making someone "more important" isn't necessarily a good thing. Kind of like how I really love that he used Karima but now she's a straight up villain and that doesn't sit well with me.

That said, Tini Howard has a lot to do with the SoX crossover, and I like her Excalibur (I know it's not everyone's cup of tea) so I can see myself enjoying this. I don't have much experience with Ayala - what have they written I might have read? I know they are guest writing the Marauders issue, but I wonder if it's going to be more permanent after reading between the lines on their Twitter account. Also, the other book about the X-worshippers got nixed entirely? They marketed the hell out of it and it already had 3 issues solicited so that would be nuts. I thought those characters were supposed to be a big role in the new direction
