Monolith's Power Descriptions
Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions
could i get a pd on Jon Ironfire
Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions
Jon Ironfire's blood is a form of molten metal which responds to his thoughts. He can cause the metal blood to flow out through his pores and shape itself into different forms such as horns, body armor, or various blades. He can keep the blood flow internal to coat his bones with a layer of metal, simulating the effect of a metal skeleton. Ironfire can formulate his blood into metal of any type, with any properties. His future self could create a psi-proof helmet similar to Magneto's design, or use his blood to create neuro-synaptic metal fibers to connect himself to certain machines.

Like I realize mutant powers never have to make actual scientific sense, but that's some hogwash there lol. I bet he has terrible circulation!Monolith wrote: ↑31 Jul 2023, 19:41Jon Ironfire's blood is a form of molten metal which responds to his thoughts. Monolith Could you do a pd on some of the mutants living on Arakko.
Like Khora, White Sword, Genesis, and the members of the great ring.

Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions
The First Horsemen, the Swordbearers of Arakko, and the the Great Ring are covered in the last post of the MPD Archives.
Khora the Burning Heart produces a form of bio-energetic flame from her heart. This energy can be cast outwards to amplify the mutant weapons of others, increasing their power levels temporarily. When she holds the energy for herself, it amplifies her own physical prowess, boosting her strength, speed, agility, endurance, reflexes, and presumably healing abilities.

thanks you are awesome!!!!
Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions
Hey Mono, I know you a few years back you mentioned that you couldn't give a PD on Willie Evans Jr. due to never having read Ironman Annual #8. But has that changed in the 4 years since?

Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions
Not really. I've read it, but there's nothing to add. Willie Evans was an immensely powerful mutant whose powers were wide in scope but employed subconsciously, leaving it difficult if impossible to define their parameters as a whole.

Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions
I've been catching up on the X-men Infinity comic and I was curious about a few things. When did Sauron gain fire-breathing and telekinesis?
Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions
I believe the fire-breathing was a Bendis idea
Best Comics of Week 47
X-titles: Uncanny Spider-Man #4 by Si Spurrier (5) and Lee Garbett (2)
Non-X titles: Avengers Inc #3 by Al Ewing (4) and Leonard Kirk (4)
In parentheses number of times creator had best comic this year

Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions
Yeah, fire-breathing came from New Avengers #5-6. I recall Bendis swore in an interview afterwards that Sauron did it before in the 80's, but I never found anything to support that.
Telekinesis is brand new for the X-Men Green stories.

Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions
Hi Mono. I get that Galactus, his hunger, and his black hole kept growing larger and larger and began to warp time 20 years in the future of Earth-8810. But how did the TVA putting a time bubble spanning 15 years around it make it worse?Monolith wrote: ↑12 Oct 2020, 22:01
3) In the future, the Dreaming Celestial changed Galactus so his appetite increased dramatically. He grew larger and ate more, creating a point singularity or black hole to contain the massive amounts he had consumed. The black hole became potent enough to warp space-time, creating a barrier or Time Bubble which prevented time travel into that era except under extreme conditions. The Bubble existed 15-20 years into the future of the Marvel Universe at the time stories were told about it, acting as a barrier which prevented travel further into the future.

Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions
Does Cable still have his precognitive powers? How robust were they? Was he ever on Destiny’s level?
Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions
@DrHouse: I don't really understand what you're asking...?
@itsmeray: Nowhere near Destiny. Cable's precog abilities were actually much closer to Spider-Man's. He received a flash of danger before it happened, and had a chance to respond to it in advance. Unlike Spidey, his flashes came with literal visions of the future threat. Depending on his power level at the time, it could be anywhere from a few seconds to several days in advance of the danger.

What I’m asking is how did the TVA’s attempt to contain the black hole/Galactus make it worse?
I may be overthinking this, I admit.

Yeah, sorry, I just can't think of anything else to add.

Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions
Ok, no problem, I re-read your description more clearly.
Let me ask you, is there a PD on the MCU's He Who Remains?
Yes, he's basically a genius-level human with advanced technology, but given what we saw in LOKI, he must have some kind of ability if the Sacred Timeline unravels back into the multiverse upon his death.

Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions
If you've watched the show, you know what I know. That seems like the sort of speculation that would be appropriate for a Loki (TV series) thread, not a PD.
