For my free agent I will take the very very obscure character Eques as "The Noble Steed."

Image

And then back to regular picks I will take Vange Whedon as "The Dragon".

Both picks are for Fairy Tale.

Nobody has had a connection to Krakoa quite like Vulcan, and now Charles biggest mistake may just save the world.

A reminder to designate your picks in their genre, including the Transfer character you received, to anyone who has not done so.

Also the following players

Lavettye
Spectral Knight
MartijnB
Wings
ev82

have not used their Loan pick (choosing someone already crossed off the list) and must do so in one of these three final rounds.

I most certainly haven't forgotten about my loan- the problem I have at the moment is how to choose between at least three potential uses for it.

My bigger challenge is how I'm going to pull two more characters from the main list at this point... slightly worried!

Also haven't forgotten about the Loan. Actually I was going to hold on to it a little bit longer, but with Anna stealing the lawyer lady who would bail my Gangsters out of jail, there's noone left on the list who's more important for my theme than
Image

Sunspot (loan)
Roberto DaCosta, mostly called Bobby D., is the youngest son of crimelord Emmanuel DaCosta. Bobby never showed much interest in the family business and is attending University while dreaming of a career as a professional soccer player.

I can now also add the missing info for Empath…
Manuel is the oldest child of crimelord Emmanuel DaCosta. He and his sister Gloria (Risque) joined their father's criminal empire early on. While Gloria was involved in cons and heists, becoming an explosives expert, Manny D. was organizing drug deals and running a brothel. He can be very charming one minute, when he wants to lure in new girls to work for him, and have quite a temper the next when a customer won't pay or one of his girls isn't making enough money.

What’s an occult horror without a Juggernaut, bitch?

EDIT: I’ve also realised that entirely rounds out my cast for heX-Factor, details of the title to follow

heX-Factor
Magic is real. Magic is dangerous. Illyana Rasputin knows both of these to be true. Raised in a cult that worshiped dark magic, she was the sole survivor when her clan committed an act of magical terrorism, opening multiple portals to a twisted Hell dimension on Earth (an act known as The Rending)—or so she thought.

Amanda Sefton was adopted by a coven of witches when her family was slaughtered during The Rending. Determined to find a way to fix the influx of wild and dangerous magic that now runs rampant, she uses her powers to protect the next generation of mages— and often finds herself dragged along on some of Illyana’s quests to balance the forces of magic.

Ian McNee, known in magical circles as “The Prince Thay Never Was”, had been tipped to succeed the mantle of Sorcerer Supreme: but when Doctor Strange went missing after The Rending without ceding his title, Ian became lost. Along with Illyana, Amanda and his half-demon friend Caliban, he hunts for mystical artefacts that the trio deem too dangerous to be allowed to be out in the world, lest a demon lord find them and use them to consolidate his or her power.

Caliban doesn’t know his family, just that he’s part demon and able to sense strong mystical energies, tracking them down to the precise point of origin. He’s also able to absorb ambient magic and use it to increase his strength and speed.

Working out of Salem (obviously), this quartet are made aware of a contamination within the world’s magic— a young girl, holding immense magical power was murdered ritualistically over one of Earth’s convergent points for a series of leylines, causing the natural magic of Earth to be contaminated with a dark and demonic energy.

That’s when The Pentagram arrives in Salem— five girls named Persephone, Eris, Nyx, Theia and Athena— accompanied with their protective golem that they have named Cain. They reveal to the group that they were created by magic, perfect magical specimens built to house the essence of the goddesses that they were named after— and that they were to be killed in order to corrupt Earth’s magic in order to complete the ritual that Illyana’s family began.

Together, this group of mages must negotiate demonic forces, rival covens and the return of the demonic Rasputin clan (led by their ancestor, the infamous Grigori Rasputin) to stop this OCCULT HORROR from destroying the world.

They are heX-Factor.

Seriously Dasboot just before my pick again! :p
Actually I'm surprised that Juggernaut lasted this long in the game, and I kept pushing back picking him.

Strong Guy will have to be the muscle on my escape team now.

Great concepts Lavettye and Spectral, so much thought has gone into them.

Sorry my love! The idea of Cain as a protective golem for The Pentagram literally came to me late last night as I was perusing the available cast!

Thanks Magik - a lot of thinking was done on the fly, so glad I managed to build a fairly cohesive team. Originally I wanted Pete Wisdom + Pixie on the roster - as my 'Pete + Tink' referencing Peter Pan and playing on classic Excalibur of the Brit group a bit more, and when I lost Pixie (twice!) I was even thinking of substituting Pixie with Tink from the Wisdom series as my free agent and loaning Pete, but that would've meant losing my loan early so had to rethink suitable candidates, but overall I'm pretty happy with the crew.

--------------
Anyways, next pick...

Any other day I would answer that in my own appropriate way, but I am having a fine selection of English Tea Sandwiches right now and I feel very educated and noble.

I mean, it’s the grossest shit when you dunk them into Earl Grey tea, but if the Brits can do, so can I.

We absolutely do NOT dunk sandwiches in tea. We dunk biscuits (no, not cookies, but you can dunk cookies too) into tea.

Indeed, when I reviewed the list of remaining characters, I had marked these two specifically for the role of some sort of bruiser/bodyguard type character. Well, on to the replacement's replacemnet then. It was to be expected that the last few rounds would be brutal.

@booty: Great concept! 8-)

@Magik: Thanks. :D
