And no one picks those Aaron abominations everyone is usually so wild about
Some picks you just don't take immediately.

Flipside, some of them I'd never pick. Mainly Eye Boy and that's entirely because he trips up my trytophobia.

There's at least two picks I'm considering for this draft that I would NEVER normally pick...they'd both be given new names + looks, of course, but I would pick them, and that's something, right?

As the two obvious inventors were picked, I'm left to pick Smart Alec, which actually on reflection will work better with my theme.

I've wanted this guy since I picked my themes, surprised he's not been nabbed soon.

You could have had Madison Jeffries if booty hadn't picked Forge before I could,.... but I'm sure he'll find a reason why this is all BC's fault. ;)

Or I could of had him as loan pick if I didn't need to borrow Cypher from you, but yes I'm sure we can make it BCs fault somehow ;)

Gangster
??? (Empath) - futher information pending, role may change depending on who else gets drafted into this concept
the mysterious X (Mystique) - mercenary for hire to gather intel or assassinate someone. X is a true master of disguise operating with masks, wigs and make-up; nobody knows their true identity, it's not even clear whether they are a man or woman.

Historical Fantasy
Dame Nostra (Blindfold), born in 1503, died in 1566 - Growing up, Ruth Nostra found herself plagued by strange visions of the future whenever she looked at people or places she wasn't familiar with.
Leonardo Geoffrey di Masone (Madison Jeffries), born 1452, died 1519 - Leonardo was a famous artist, inventer, mechanic, architect and general problem solver, who during his career worked for several Italian noble houses and even the Vatican.
Dr. Moira Kinross - present day history professor & adventurer (a female Indiana Jones type), she knows for a fact that reincarnation is a real thing, because she perfectly recalls living nine earlier lifes between 1515 and today. She remembers being a maid of Marie-Antoinette, a German soldier in World War II, a New York burlesque dancer in the 1890ies, etc.
Douglas Ramsey - student and co-worker of Moira Kinross, able to speak and read nearly every human language, even extinct ones.
Nathaniel Carver - another prime student of Moira Kinross, who gets a reading of any object's history by touching it.

I'm confused - are we meant to be issuing our splits now? I thought we gave our roster splits when we got to our next draft pick.

I take it, that at the end of this round (probably right before Omnicon makes his double post) Cable will reveal all our genres, and then we will have assign our characters and give brief info on them with our round eight posts ?
Yes although you don't have to wait until your turn in round 8 to flesh out your idea. Any moment you have time to do so you can. Players just take care to note whose turn it is to actually be picking. When your turn comes though you should definitely have your characters assigned. If you do not have time to elaborate but don't want to hold the game up then your pick and assigning your characters to each of your genres is the minimum you have to do.
