Slightly different workflow to this mock-up of a Namor concept - rather than trying to render the polypaint in Zbrush Core, I rendered a grey-scale and then painted in Photoshop for a bit more control over the final appearance. I quite like the effect:

This was trickier than I thought it might be - the detail on Cap's mask is a nightmare. From what I've seen of Zbrush videos, there's the potential to use curve brushes for consistent weights for trims, but it's not present on the Core version. Still fun to play with...still debating on whether or not to get the full version or not. At four times the price it's a bit more of an outlay, but there's so many thinks you can't really do in Core.

Been ages since I did any 2D art, so I went back to the tutorials for this one...

That's really really cool! I love the hair.

Thanks Anna!

There's definitely some proportion issues (I think her left arm extends out too far) but this was ALL about her hair. It's Medusa's defining feature so it was fun to have a tutorial that was so OTT with it (and the kinetics of it)

This is something I've been working on over the last week in Zbrush - it's still early days, and I've got a bit to add, but having seen some of the features that are possible in the main version compared to Core, I thought I'd give it a trial.

I might try to Zsphere rig for a pose once I've finished him up.

 Have you seen some of work proper 3D concept artists put there? I mean Raf Grassetti's "hobby" work blows my mind, let alone the stuff he's actually paid for! Every time I look at his Rhino concept I die a little inside because it is so DAMN good!

I really do wish I could spend more time (and cash for the right tools...) on my artwork rather than pissing about with it in my spare time as it's so much more engaging than my actual job, but I never had the commitment to go all in on art or design when I was younger and so I'll always be a rank amateur.
