The Mandalorian

I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode...felt less like Solo and more like the Clone Wars TV series.
Morrison Era 2001-2005, Decimation Era from 2005-2012, Bendis Era 2012-2016, M-Pox era 2016-2017, and Resurrxion 2017-2019, Hickman Era 2019-?

I also really enjoyed this. I'm super excited to see where it goes from here.

Definitely a step up from Solo.

Probably could have done without the stereotypical "I can't do this." "Your ancestors did better than this!" "I can do this in one shot."

I think I might like this more than Clone Wars...

It's so interesting to see what people think of this show. I, personally, find it dull and pointless. Baby Yoda for life, of course, as he is adorable. I mean there's great visuals, and the episodes have wonderful action. But who the hell is the Mandalorian? Sure, not showing his face builds mystery, but also prevents any sort of emotion or connection through facial features. He has no character, no development, and the show has no story arc. Each episode is like Power Rangers - a bad guy is there, gets the upper hand, almost hurts/steals Baby Yoda, and then is killed/imprisoned/bested by the Mando. I like that it's showing a different side of the SW universe, but it really needs to step up it's storytelling game.

It is better than Solo tho, that movie had three things going for it and it was Donald Glover perfectly channeling Billy Dee, the robot, and Emilia Clarke's double cross at the end.

I like it because it does expand much more of the world and the because we know so little about Mando, we learn more about every one else and I like that. He works partially as a cypher but also as a mystery figure with little pieces of him.

I found this pretty boring, but my wife liked it so we watched it. The best scene was at the beginning of the last episode with the two Storm Troopers shooting the shit. Very little else interested me.

I finally saw this. The Mandalorian is indeed very enjoyable but not exceptional. This illustrates how far Star Wars had fallen that people lost their minds over it.
