Has nobody in-universe had the revelation that either: 1. Quake isn't the world destroyer, or 2. she succeeds in getting back?
That's been bugging me too. Like...it can't happen if she isn't there to do it, guys. I thought Gemma and Fitz were geniuses.

Wouldn't be surprised if neither of them just aren't entertaining the thought she did it.

My guess is, they assume they get home.

I was actually thinking more along the lines of "Why didn't Deke just kill her as soon as he realized who she was?"

I guess Deke thought she traveled to the future after destroying Earth & had amnesia about it.

I think I realize my issue with this season is I don't understand how you save the past from the future. Time travel into the past is always something I'm generally okay with because you can see where actions will have consequences. Going to the future seems weird though.

It's getting spoilers so you can make changes when you return to the present, although season 3 shows it operates on fatalism so this should be moot.

They should've brought Flint back with them to keep the Earth from cracking up.

Yeah it's basically a paradox which is what Fitz points out earlier in the story arc. If they change the past so there is no Earth Quaking, then they never go to the future which means they didn't know to change their actions to begin with so how could they change them?

Holy crap - I did not expect that revelation about Deke at the end.

Leo & Jemma should both officially use Fitzsimmons as their surname now.

Since they didn’t file any officiant paperwork, does being head of a disavowed spy agency grant Phil Coulson any innate power to legally wed his underlings?
Is Ruby the MCU Taskmaster. (If she’s not, can Taskmaster finally show up in Black Panther 2: Vibranium Boogaloo?) https://mattthecatania.wordpress.com/20 ... hievement/

Oh, we know they're totes gonna use Fitzsimmons. I don't know what the hell Ruby is supposed to be. I do like new characters but I think we can all agree that adapting actual MU characters is what gets the fans in a tizzy.

I saw confirmed in an interview with the actress its a brand new character. I was hoping she would be Finesse personally.

Ugh. Really? Deke couldn't just be a dude. Had to make him family.

Screw You Whedons. Forget you and your TV Trope Loving Butts!

Also Barely Legals doing clunky seduction makes me sad. The payoff better be Werner killing her coldly later and going "I was a Psych Major and I have perfect recall. You seriously thought I would be fooled?"

Seriously I miss when the show was about AGENTS! It's been how long since Winter Soldier? Why can't we just have a real SHIELD back instead of all this tacked-on "Operating in Secret/OMG someone tweeted about us the jig is up" nonsense. Someone give them real government jobs again where they have real resources and can operate in public! That's the show I signed on for!

I'm Out.

EDITED For Language. My bad people. I shouldn't post right after DVR catch-up marathon.

I’m glad the apparitions are finally done. I wonder if they’ll bother connecting that dimension to Nightmare if he pops up in a Dr. Strange sequel.
It’s HYDRA ... again. Why couldn't it have been AIM this time so we could see yellow beekeeper suits?

I assume the guy in the shadows was Kasius's (sp?) father/grandfather? Since he had a vial of that stuff?

Schizophrenic Fitz was brilliant. I loved that he didn't really regret what he'd done either. We finally saw the consequences of the Framework and how he's now willing to delve into science despite ethical / moral boundaries. He's becoming Holden Radcliffe, which is appropriate given their bond.

I know this is a board full of dudes, but y'all know Ruby is a Disney Channel star, right? Like, I love Disney, but I'm not into them pushing "Descendants" French Canadian big lips no acting ability on us in an action show. There had to be a better actress. AND we're back to "Daisy the Mary Sue" again, which is the most annoying trope this show plays. Is this the last season? Every year, it feels like that's how they are setting up the second half. I want to see Bobbi again! I can't believe a B list Avenger is getting wasted on this show that the movies refuse to reference!

After schizo Fitz a couple episodes back this series has started to flatten out a bit for me. I'm just not particularly enthused about either Hale as villains and I want the Confederacy storyline to come front and centre.

Also most operating theatre scenes in a Shield series so far? How many times have we seen a medical emergency this season? My girlfriend is sure I've become a closet Brit soap Casualty fan with all these crisises.

It hardly seems fair that for their conveniently simultaneous apocalypses SHIELD gets crazy Adrian Pasdar while Infinity War has to settle for casual Darkseid. (I was looking forward to crazy Ian Hart as Graviton, but this works too.)
