EvilMonkeyPope wrote:Tabitha betrays her brother because he doesn't treat her as an equal. He threatened to kill her after she sicced assassins on Gordon to avenge Barbara if she ever defied his orders again. This made her realize that his masterplan was completely selfish & he was treating her like a mere lackey. His plans were needlessly biased against the Dumas women as there was no reason to keep Gordon alive or to threaten Silver. By giving Silver his parachute, she keeps her from being arrested as an accessory & screws him over to take the fall he deserves. Unexpectedly parachuting into a busy city is dangerous of course, but Gotham's not really concerned with how the real world works.
Oh! Well see you included an important detail there which I somehow totally missed: Silver had a parachute!

I knew the sister had one, but the way she threw Silver out the window and Silver screamed, I thought that she had straight up murdered her!

That makes a lot more sense now, thanks.

Azrael will be coming to Gotham this season! His costume's not comic accurate but you can still tell who it's supposed to be. https://naoseinadadotcomdotbr.files.wor ... ael-01.jpg

I'm trying to think, who's going to be left to be involved with Batman when he's an adult?
I'm Team Remender, Waid, Hickman and Gillen

My X-Men Draft Picks:
Prof. X, Legion, Polaris, Quicksilver, Meggan, Deadpool, Pixie, and Danger

They'll just be old so they'll be easy for him to beat up.

Hugo Strange literally sees the world through rose-colored glasses.

While the series improved, the season finale didn’t have the same oomph that I expected of it. The stakes were much lower than the other superhero finales this season, which is a double-edged sword. It felt more like the middle chapter of a book than a thrilling climax. https://mattthecatania.wordpress.com/20 ... v-finales/

Gotham has now been revealed to be part of the shared Tommy Westphall universe. The season 3 poster features a snow globe but no Mr. Freeze & a tagline alluding to the Mad Hatter without picturing him either. When he does appear, however, he will indeed wear a hat. I was concerned they might’ve been reserving his defining apparel for when Master Bruce comes of age. They released a couple trailers, the better one is spliced with Lucifer season 2. https://mattthecatania.wordpress.com/20 ... ets-slade/

Gotham has returned for a third season, although it doesn’t seem quite so batty. Throwing in the Court of the Owl & Hugo Strange’s Monster Men this early is unorthodox, but the story beats have lined up with what I’d expect from a jaunt into this side of crazy town. If it wants to uphold its reputation, it needs to escalate exponentially to new flavors of lunacy like Zur-En-Arrh & the Rainbow Creature! https://mattthecatania.wordpress.com/20 ... revved-up/

Poison Ivy has artificially blossomed into maturity. So far this development is … not completely awful? It’s just kind of there. Granted, there’s still plenty of time for it to run off the rails. But what if the writers actively subvert everyone’s justified misgivings about this squicky subplot? (“This could’ve been so much worse!” ought to be the Gotham motto.) Anyway, progeria Poison Ivy kills a dude for not watering his ex’s plants, so at least she’s in character.

Arkham’s Razor says Kristen Kringle’s dead ringer is Clayface hired by Tabitha to break up Oswald & Ed. Or this Isabella is Kristen’s long lost twin who is going to be the show’s quasi-suicidal take on Bookworm. Wait … Bella & Edward? This is a Twilight riff too? https://mattthecatania.wordpress.com/20 ... olarities/

I think she is Clayface too.
It would have been fun if they get the relationship of Oswald & Ed to the next level for a few episodes before Isabella comes.

Gotham’s second winter finale of the season, “The Gentle Art of Making Enemies,” was so awesome it literally punched a dude’s face off! (Jerome should get the Dollmaker to fix that afore he gets kicked into a vat of chemicals.) Why was the carnival the only place with electricity during the blackout? I don’t care because I finally saw someone be devoured by piranhas in a dunk tank! Bruce goading Jerome to shoot staples into his arm to use as (highly improbable) lock-picks then pretending to be pained so he wouldn’t catch on was the most Batman thing he’s done since he tricked Silver St. Cloud into confessing. (He loses points for neither hiding the Court of Owls’ statue in the BatCave two episodes ago nor splurging for decent security despite stately Wayne Manor being attacked like six times already.) https://mattthecatania.wordpress.com/20 ... o-much-tv/

“How The Riddler Got His Name” focused on Edward Nygma torn betwixt a desperate cry for help & self-actualization. (According to Gotham, he did not steal his persona from an existing fortune teller machine.) This episode gave me major Hannibal vibes, not that I mind. https://mattthecatania.wordpress.com/20 ... -run-week/

If Gotham lets Erin Richards use her Welsh accent whilst wearing a white tuxedo & wielding ectoplasmic weapons, it will win television.
