Best Marvel film of 2022…definitely in my top 10 already
So on one hand we have the existence of a being who can reset the entire timeline, destroying everything…, and on the other hand we have a few mind wipes and some gaslighting. You're right, totally evenly weighted.

My only thought is that I wish it had been longer.

He’s credited as “Fire Tuba,” but that is clearly a Sousaphone!

I had a blast with this and I feel like the whole cast did too. I'd love to see a series of one-shots along these lines exploring all the dark corners of the MCU.

Agreed, super tight, great fun, no boring exposition, just straight into it. LOVED this, and given I know nothing about WBN except that he's a werewolf, it didn't matter in the slightest.

Only slight complaint is Man-Thing looked so terrific in B&W that when the colour came in it highlighted the simplicity of his look a little, but a minor niggle at best. I did love him gently handing Jack the coffee mug in the closer.

Also, that hallway scene with the diminishing light and blood splattering the camera - brilliant.

I hope the Marvel fans who only really know Marvel from the MCU watch it, and enjoy it as much as I did, because this is honestly one of the best examples of playing with the format and breadth of the MCU yet.

I say release one for all the old school Monster Marvel characters: Frankenstein, the Living Mummy, and instead of the Creature from the Black Lagoon, do Marrina!!!

And cap it all off with a Tomb of Dracula special…since vampires appear to be back in vogue.

I kept thinking the entire time he was on screen
Spoiler: show
that the guy with the big beard and the axe might be a previous host of Anachronism. Until he was quickly killed, at least. Lol.

This was SO MUCH FUN!! I only know a little about Jack but always admired him; I know less about Elsa but also admired her from afar. And this was just VERY cool! An excellent standalone story - something we really needed for this spooky season!

We'll see if it goes anywhere - I really hope it does, considering how the MCU is building up its supernatural corner. I'd really love to see these folks in something with Blade, Moon Knight, and Black Knight. Nothing wrong with a one-shot though - if this doesn't end up going anywhere, I'll still be satisfied. The story was strong, fun, and captivating!

It also gives me great hopes for the upcoming Guardians holiday special! More of these please!!

Evidently guessing some people will simply never watch something in black and white, Marvel will be rereleasing this in color this year on October 20.

...really? Part of the fun of WBN is that old early horror styling.

I hope there's some kind of option to keep it in B&W - that was AWESOME.

The director the original is involved in the new version apparently, they're trying to pay homage to the vibrant colours of classic Horror movies like those from Hammer.

Considering when it did go to colour at the end, Elsa wasn’t ginger? No. Keep it black and white. That is all.
