There's talk online that maybe the Black Widow movie is the back door for the female Avengers. While I think that a straight spy movie like Waid and Samnee's run would work, a line-up of Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Wasp, Valkyrie, Gamora, and Scarlet Witch would be pretty cool. You could also potentially use Mantis, Nebula, and the Dora Milaje. Have them fight the Enchantress.

I just want an ad campaign that doesn't involve social media bitching like Ghostbusters. Seriously every side made bad choices during the lead-in to that movie's release. I never want to hear the phrase "If you don't support this movie you are sexist" ever again.

That is going to be inevitable.

Token's right, because Fox News will at least complain and then a number of the online news sources will overreact to Fox's obvious troll, and then there will be a dumb controversy. It's best to just ignore all that crap.

This could be good, but a Kim Possible movie by Rachel Talalay would be even better.

Looks fantastic. Can't wait to learn more about Natasha and see what kind of movie she can carry. Taskmaster seems like an excellent villain for the movie.

So were the snippets of Clint and Nick re-cycled footage or are they scheduled to appear in this?

Pretty sure the snippets with the other known characters are just from other movies. With that said, they are obviously in Budapest, so I fully expect Hawkeye will show up.

The trailer doesn't look awful but it also doesn't look amazing to me to be perfectly honest. This movie should have come out years ago. This feels too little too late. And at a time when it seems like the MCU is moving away from the original Avengers, I feel like this trailer needed to really wow people to justify itself and it didn't. I was looking forward for the action scenes and they didn't impress (too many jumpcuts). I know that many people are interested in the Budapest stuff but I'm really not.

It's ironic that they had to pick up one of Joss Whedon's stereotypical usages of the "noodle incident" trope (and a reference to Buffy no less) to find unexplored depth in MCU's Black Widow considering all the criticism throw his way. The same happened with Hawkeye. He had to fight to give Hawkeye a family and it ended up being the thing that gave Clint some dimension as a character.

I love a Rachel Weisz...no matter what, I’m at least partially in if I see her...

Really looking forward to this...can’t be any worse than the drudge X-films we got (besides Logan) so cheers!

Looks great. I wish they’d tone down the comedy a bit more for this film, but I can live with it.

The clips of Clint and Fury are definitely from prior films. Not sure about Ross.

The statue in the opening shot is in Budapest.

I'd say out of all of the MCU heroes, I really do think Clint has got the short-end of the stock in terms of not really capturing his personality from the comics at all. MCU Clint is pretty dry, and I felt him getting the family was almost an apology for how little he'd been given, but it didn't hold for me, and I need to watch Endgame again (it's on the Chrimbo list...), but if felt a bit token effort to make him Ronin. Scott is a far more convincing family man hero to me, and MCU Clint has none of that rebellious wise guy that I get from the comics.

Until the MCU and Fraction, I hated Hawkeye. That OG costume is ridiculous, and he never made sense as an archer on a team of superheroes. Plus, in AWC he was played as a real jerk.

But I like the MCU version a lot.
