The Humans by Matt Haig.
About half way through, and it's a really fun look at our collective foibles from an alien's perspective. Can definitely recommended.

How are the novels? I've never read any of them.

Re: what are you reading?
Just finished this one and I have the two anthologies. They are good reads, not super action-packed like the movies but does a great job of getting into the head of Bond and getting a feel for how being a super-spy secret 00-agent defines who you are as a person. The actions parts were solid, Scaramanga was a great classic villain. Just a horrible predatory person to the final moment of his life.

The Seventh Function of Language by Laurent Binet is superb if you like The Name Of The Rose & Lodge 49.

Re: what are you reading?
Been re-reading the Midkemia books by Feist. Up to King's Buccaneer aka Book Nine, so when I finish this I'll be about halfway. Not counting the Empire Trilogy spin-off which was co-written with Janny Wurts.

Re: what are you reading?
Alan Moore, sensing I've only a third left of Jerusalem to get though, inserts a fifty page chapter from the perspective of mad & abused Lucia Joyce written in slurred inconsistent phonetics.
Should I read that chapter I skipped before returning it to the library?

Took a break from Midkemia to re-read the "Increasingly Misnamed Hitchhikers Trilogy". Good Times.

"I LIKE FOOTBALL!"
"Probably the finest novel of alien invasion ever written: FOOTBALL!"

The Launch Party by Lauren A. Forry.
A locked room murder mystery set in a lunar hotel. Bit bonkers set-up, but about 25% of the way through and it's quite fun.
