If we’re talking not just for hardcore fans?

Then I think a non TAS lineup that people would be familiar with is:
Iceman (in films, cartoon and video games)
Archangels (visually recognizable)
Cable (visually recognizable and in film)
Deadpool
Nightcrawler
X-23

I honestly couldn’t name another female X-Man that normies would know.

Maybe Psylocke and Domino because of the movies.

Mystique would be recognizable. I know that she is not what we think when we mention "x-man" but, if we're including Deadpool, might as well add her.

The reason I went for Psylocke as because she was in X-Men Apocalypse, cameo'd in TAS, and been in tonnes of games. Do I think most people even know she's British, and her real name is Betsy. Not many, but I think she's got a striking look (in the much dismissed Lee look) that's probably won her a few non X-Fans.

Psylocke was one of the best damn parts of that Apocalypse movie. She was the coolest.

Now Mystique I omitted because of her status but yeah she counts...

Shadowcat was pretty much the focus of MANY X-Men: Evolution shows. I distinctly remember her being in a single move from X-Men: TAS. She was also pretty memorable, as well as played by a rather big name actress, in X3 and DOFP.

Psylocke would definitely be above her though for the mentions reasoned. Hot ninja lady in a bathing suit. Also in multiple games, a minor cameo in X3 and a major character in Apocalypse. Also gets small bump from being played by Olivia Munn who is arguably a smaller star than Ellen Page.

After that it's a HUGE drop off. Emma and X-23 would be next.

Emma had WatX, X-Men Anime, Origins, and a minor roll in TAS for TV/movies as well as X-Men Legends and Contest of Champions for games. She'd also get the Psylocke bump for being sexy.
X-23 had 2 episodes in Evolution and possibly WatX(? I never watched it) and of course Logan. She was in UMvC3 and Contest of Champions for games. She'd get the Wolverine bump of simply being in his orbit.

After them it'd probably be Domino. I doubt Vanessa would get a bump because only knowledgeable comic fans would know of Copycat.

You guys are giving Colossus the pretty short shrift here.

Deadpool has given him a solid bump for sure.

This really depends on what the "normie" has watched. Take Domino. Not many are mentioning her and when mentioned people are referencing the 2nd Deadpool movie. However she was pretty prominent in Wolverine and the X-men. In number of episodes, she's the 3rd female character (behind Emma and Kitty but in front of Storm, Rogue, Scarlet Witch and Jean). She's one of the few characters to be shown active in both the Present (as part of the Brotherhood) and the Future (as part of the X-men).

X-men Evolution also had a ton of episodes with Magma and Boom Boom with some episodes even centered on them. If you grew up on that, you'd be familiar with those two as they cause far more of an impression than Storm for instance (the latter being pretty much just there in the background, rarely having much to do).

Armor was the audience's viewpoint character in the Anime. She's pretty much the most important female character. Emma competes for the spotlight but wasn't even in every episode, Storm, once again, is just there to look good in the background and Jean is just a bad memory that exists to justify Cyclops' emo phase.

Yeah, I'd put Colossus on that team. And once New Mutants comes out, you can bet Magik, since she's got the most visually interesting power set and look.

For me, I'd go with:

Nightcrawler
Colossus
Iceman
Shadowcat
Psylocke
Archangel
Bishop
Magik

Cable and Domino are pretty well known, but I'd put them on an X-Force team instead.

I'm surprised so few people have gone for Emma Frost, she was a big part of WatXM, from what I've read also of the anime, in First Class in a fairly prominent role, and has been a massive part of what I term the flagship X-books for 2 decades now. Emma has probably been the single biggest female X-Man in that time, so even if you're not a "hardcore" X-fan (which I'm not, certainly in comparison to most of you guys at least in terms of volume of X-books read on a regular basis) there's no getting away that she's been a superstar of the X-books, and even if you're a floating Marvel generalist, she's been such a big part of crossovers like HoM, Dark Reign, AvsX, IvsX, SE etc., that you'll know about her. (And I'm not even that much of a fan...!)

Pryde? I dunno. Massive part of Evolution, as earlier mentioned, and fairly big role in WatXM, as well as Last Stand + DOFP... maybe if Pryde of the X-Men was a success, it might have been different, but it wasn't. I dunno, always thought of her as her time had passed a bit. Might be own biases showing through here, but never been much of a Pryde fan, and whilst not hating to the extent of others, she's always faded a bit into the background for me. Even her prominent WatXM role didn't seem like her comic counterpart at all, seeming a bit ditzy compared to the somewhat know-it-all Kitty of the comics.

Don't forget that Nightcrawler and Kitty were lyrics in a Weezer song.

I find it kind of sad that Universal can't seem to find the right vibe for their Classic Monsters revivals. Dracula Untold bombed, Mummy was hated, now they don't even want to shared universe apparently. I've always had a soft spot for classic monsters. Love the Brendan Fraser Mummy films.

I didn't think Dracula Untold was bad TBH, though to me it did feel more like a superhero origin movie than a classic monster movie.

I liked it for what it was, I could see what the writers were going for but I can also see why a lot of folks didn't like it.

I had to unfollow her at one point because I got really tired of the "DEBATE ME!" meme. I do love her, but Christ she drove it into the ground. Always happy to watch her troll Olicity and Cyclops fans though.

I kind of got confused midway through but I think I got 8 or 9. The questions definitively got easier by the end (even though the guy seemed to have an easier time with the first few). The questions are long (which I'm guessing is deliberate), can you not interrupt the presenter? A lot of them were obvious from the first few words but he kept going and going. For instance, during the Storm question you could see that the contestant clearly knew immediately but waited till the end.
