That’s what I was thinking. We have so many (now) iconic and fan favourite characters from both stables who weren’t part of the initial Amalgam, that it just seems silly to not do this
Marvel Fantasy League Team: Laura Kinney, James Howlett, Domino, Luke Cage, Magik, Black Bolt, Sentry, Dazzler, Nick Fury, Dazzler, Hawkeye (not the Hawkguy)

I'd love this, especially since I'd get to play in this one. :)

In for an Avengers A-Editorial draft.

Don't know enough about DC to commit to an Amalgam draft. Can you list me in as a tentative for that one.
X-Editorial:
X-Nation: Psylocke, Siryn, Fantomex, Meggan, Toad, Motormouth, Micromax, Pete Wisdom
Uncanny X-Force: Psylocke, Siryn, Fantomex, Warpath, Maverick, Vindicator, Caliban, Omega Red, Pete Wisdom

I've thought about it and was not sure if it was doable. There are distinct X-Men teams (like X-Force is an investigative team, X-Force is a more violent/aggressive team, etc) but honestly the casts of all of them are totally interchangeable. Their shared status as mutants and allies makes almost any combination make sense. I don't know if it works in the greater MU. Sure you got your Avengers, Champions, Defenders--books that can be anything. But what about something like Asgardians of the Galaxy or Uncanny Inhumans? Very limited possibilities. But then again you might not think off the top of your head there are 50 different team X-titles and yet I found there were (well Hellions and X-Corps are two I made up; they are real teams but have never been real titles). I never tried to make a list for the greater MU. It might be possible.

If you do it I would love to participate.

Avengers
Mighty Avengers
New Avengers
Dark Avengers
Uncanny Avengers
Avengers Initiative
Young Avengers
West Coast Avengers
A-Force
Great Lakes Avengers
Solo Avengers

Think all of the above have / had their own books and that's hardly a deep dive
X-Editorial:
X-Nation: Psylocke, Siryn, Fantomex, Meggan, Toad, Motormouth, Micromax, Pete Wisdom
Uncanny X-Force: Psylocke, Siryn, Fantomex, Warpath, Maverick, Vindicator, Caliban, Omega Red, Pete Wisdom

Force Works, Avengers Academy, A-Next, Avengers Assemble, Occupy Avengers, U.S. Avengers, Avengers World, Avengers Unplugged, United they Stand, and the Ultimates, according to Wikipedia. You could even toss in groups like Defenders, Thunderbolts, and Champions.

I would like to submit an idea for a draft:

Some kind of Weirdworld draft where the stories of solo characters and groups are set in a fantasy/medieval/pirate,.. ambient.

I had this idea when I look at the entry for the ..... and watched ..... on tv. (I sure as hell won’t tell you the missing words or someone else steals my planed entry)

Everybody okay with a brief break before we start the Thunderbolts draft? We've been going from draft to draft quite quickly, so I just want preempt any burnout. If everyone's good with it, I might wait until next weekend or the weekend after to begin signups/ get the draft up and running. Of course, if you're all willing I can start the ball rolling this week. Just let me know if anyone would rather wait a little bit.

This could be interesting - perhaps if there were Elseworld 'themes' that you needed to draft to (rather than books) this could be fun, especially if the themes / story was held back until the end (similar to the X-Editorial draft).

No urgent rush - I've already signed-up through this thread's early interest registration(!), but yeah, a breather of a week or two will be fine with me.

I recently remembered this classic UXM issue where Kitty (when people still liked her) read a fairytale to illyana and the X-Men were pirates and Storm‘s name was Windrider I think?
And the T-ampions are in Weirdworld now to I think and they changed into fitting characters.

That’s why I came up with this Weirdworld/Elseworld idea.

Part of the reason I sat out the Warped draft was draft fatigue. Count me as signed up for Thubderbolts whenever everyone else wants to start.

Yeah Thunderbolts can take it's time because I work retail and so my job is about to hit its yearly insanity until the end of the year. I can run my Initiative Draft after the new year when it calms down.
