Avalanche needs characterization
Basically our disagreement is that we differ on whether developing a character can be an ends for a story. You do not believe so; I do. A story that fleshes out Avalanche is something I would like, and that I would like for that reason alone. The other elements of the story that you are harping abou...

I will be honest, I don't understand how you are suggesting writers go about making a story. Here are the two scenarios:We are doing an anthology about characters that aren't normally featured.Scenario 1) Hey, Avalanche has been around a long time but nothing seems to ever be done with him. Here are...

All shared universes are popular because they are so well fleshed out. Further fleshing out the world is always a good goal. You say why Avalanche over another C-lister? Why not? If you want to flesh out the world you must pick an undeveloped and/or unused character, which by definition is going to ...

Spectral Knight you speak as if it has to be an ongoing that he gets development in. Why can't it be a single story in an anthology? That doesn't require your arguments of interrupting the serial comic and/or detracting from the others in the book.

Continually Published Titles
Well I guess Deadpool is only continually published if you count Agent X as being the same book. Deadpool's solo became Agent X in 2002-2003, and then Cable and Deadpool was launched in 2004.

Deadpool's ongoing began in 1997 and ended in 2002, before returning in 2008 until the present.

That is correct but since the Forevers are not offered for direct subscription I don't think there is any difference to Marvel.

Forevers are a waste
I don't actually want to deny the fans the right for Forevers to exist because there are currently more in-continuity titles than I can afford. But that doesn't change the fact that they are wastes to me.

I will be the sole person supporting PhoenixLives here The number one most important element in a comic for me is adherence to and use of continuity. I won't ever read any alternate universe titles. It is a simple fact that if the artists and writers on Forevers weren't doing those books, they would...

I have to disagree sir. I have always thought the best possible leadership for the X-Men would be if Cyclops and Storm hooked up. It would be the best of both worlds. This is like the same thing but for the next generation.

He does have the unique trait of being Greek. They could do a story that reveals he was behind the financial crisis and is responsible for Europe's "shaky" economy.

Has anyone read Poul Anderson's Technic History books? Especially the Polesotechnic League period. Those are the ones featuring Nicholas van Rijn and/or David Falkayn. Recommend or not?

Betrayal Game: Discussion Thread
I don't like limitations because I like to be completely off-the-wall characters for two reasons: a) I have played probably almost fifty characters and never the same one twice, and b) I like to see interactions between characters that aren't normally associated with each other. Thus I am Ka-Zar in ...

This looks awful, but I will definitely be in the theater on opening night. If no one watches this, they won't make good X-Men movies instead, they just won't make any at all.

Sunfire/Rogue team-up
I just learned that Sunfire and Rogue once were once on some mission to confront Lady Deathstrike's father over his adamantium formula, and some character named Blindspot was there and erased their memory, so on and so forth. Anyways, what issues did this take place in?

X-men: A Slump Too Far?
I disagree with everybody. The 80s were previously the greatest decade for comics but the 00s have overtaken that era in my opinion. There might be a perceived "slump" to me only because of uncertainty about where everything is now going due to the end of this extended period, but what we are coming...

In Legacy 211-214 there was a story about Mr. Sinister insuring he would be resurrected after his death by implanting his DNA in children. He chose mutant children because normal bodies would be burnt up in the process. One of the children he put his DNA in was Cain Marko.

It has been heavily implied that Juggernaut is a mutant. I wouldn't automatically assume he wouldn't be affected.

Oddly enough the answer seems to be sometimes they are, sometimes they aren't.
