Re: Story Elements You Never Want to See Again?

“Should have been more interesting” would be how I would phrase it (yeah, semantics, I know, but kind of important here, I feel)— my point with Hope, specifically, is that there was such a long game. Is she the Phoenix? Is she Jean? Who is her mother? Who is her father? What are her powers? Is she ...

Oh yes shame on me for not mentioning the art by Magno. That splash page of Namor commanding the seas was just awesome in the true sense of the word.

Invaders #6

As the first arc concludes, what are thoughts on Invaders? In Eisenach, Germany 1943 the Invaders are battling the Nazis when Bucky yells that bombers are coming. Cap tells everyone to pull back but Machan hurries to find Namor. The two barely make it out as the explosions hit, as Machan says with h...

Re: Prisoner X #4

This is possibly the best mini in the event because it is consistent and makes sense (the bar is that low lol). I thought Lorna pretty clearly laid it out -- every time she breaks free she can feel that it gets harder for her to be put back under control. And we have seen hints in other books that X...

Re: War of the Realms #5

This was a such a bad ass fight issue. Seeing all the different battles across earth was awesome and made me even forgive that they don't exactly line-up with what we see elsewhere. And Thor on Yggdrasil...damn. And Volstagg the destroyer. And..really just so many moments of bad assery in this lol. ...

Re: Uncanny X-Men #19

Every character death has been done with a clear purpose. People just get mad about them because X-fans want every X-character in every book every time. There are 1000 mutants and we want to see all of them always. I would rather get a meaningful death for a character than have them show up in splas...

Marvel Team-Up #3

The third issue of Marvel Team-Up Body Swap Peter Parker and Kamala Khan are still in each other's bodies and aren't very happy about it. The switching appears not to have happened for many hours now. Kamala-in-Peter begins crying as they may be permanently stuck but Peter-in-Kamala gives her a pep ...

I really enjoyed this...nice threat to bring back and I’m gld Duggan just kill a bunch of folks but took them off the board in a cool way. I didn’t know Wendell had powers too though.
Duggan was the last volume. This is Donny Cates now.

Guardians of the Galaxy Annual

In GotG #1 many heroes were sucked into a black hole. What became of them? Full Spoilers: Richard Rider is getting a drink at a bar on K'rii-3 when he is approached by Wendell Vaughn. Re: Is Kitty Really THAT Bad of a Leader?

Dani and Cannonball and Sunspot can be good on the Fearless Defenders or the USAvengers, but when Kitty Pride assumed the burden of her people's movement on her young shoulders where were they? I don't see them stepping up. She did. That's a leader.

Re: X-23 #12

I found this volume to be consistently solid but unexceptional. This finale was lackluster to me. I don't like the name change. Honey Badger is kind of ridiculous but it shows Gabby's fun side and I think that's important. Scout is kind of boring. And in regards to its relationship to the clones, de...

Re: X-Man Titles Question

None of them are over so it is hard to say, but so far they are not great. Prisoner X or Nextgen is probably the the best entertainment-wise, and Marvelous X-Men is best if you were to pick just one that is most relevant to understanding the overall event.

Re: Avengers International Draft

With the team idea I have in mind I can be pretty flexible with the general picks but there is literally only one leader I am interested in. I am ready for a heartbreak.

Re: Is Kitty Really THAT Bad of a Leader?

Comparing Kitty to the others is almost unfair because they are 1st and/or 2nd generation X-Men (depending on whether you lump the Giant-Sized crew with the O5) and she is younger than that. She is inexperienced and makes mistakes but has a lot of room for growth to be not the best leader now but th...

Re: X-Tremists #4

X-tracts in general isn't good but issue #3 was one of the best issues of Age of X-Man. And really that is kind of the way with this event as a whole. There are moments in the various titles that are good but none of them has consistency. Then the story veers away from that and starts getting into h...
