Re: X-Men Before the Fall: Mutant First Strike #1
Bruh…Kidogo sure could have used that development they handed to Thumbelina. Guess there wasn’t room with Eye-Scream and a horseman already appearing. … are you genuinely mad that a character that has never had a spoken line nor used their power on panel and only even has a name due to a yearbook s...

Re: X-Men Before the Fall: Mutant First Strike #1
Me too. I also love how many former villains there are hanging around and doing humanitarian work now. I've always been of the mindset that most supervillains (at least in the X-Men's wheelhouse) are simply vulnerable disenfranchised people who fell through the cracks, and given a real chance at a ...

I’d buy that explanation.
I honestly loved how jam-packed this was with cameos too

Re: Immortal X-Men #12
Oh damn. Damn damn damn damn damn EDIT: it’s probably also worth noting that after the HG, unless the rules change, Kate will have to leave the council due to serving on the X-Men. So, that would leave… Hope, Xavier, Emma, Exodus and Destiny unable to vote. Colossus with his vote, plus an additional...

Re: X-Men Before the Fall: Mutant First Strike #1
This was JUST a who’s who of mutants, although I’m confused how Death is now Life and can heal folk when I thought he only had an ailment aura?
Anyway. This follows Bishop in that it’s very much a move against Krakoa in the public eye

Bishop: War College #5
Bishop convinces Tempo to send them back to the 616 and they arrive just in time to turn the tide against Fenris. Fenris are thrown in the pit, and alt-u Bishop starts getting trained by his universe’s Magik. Bishop grades all the students, and seems to be implying that Armor won’t miss a third sho...

Re: Re: Random Thoughts
Feeling SLIGHTLY basic-bitch shamed for my blue suit, but I paired it with a floral shirt so

I also loved that their were games included in the ceremony— like it’s tradition for the bride’s family to “scheme” to steal the groom’s shoes and he basically has to pay to get them back

Re: Betsy Braddock: Captain Britain #4
I just thought at this point you’d have bowed out so as not to give support to a status quo, Betsy being CB, that you’ve consistently shown to dislike. It’s not shade or anything, if anything I respext the consistency, I just didn’t understand the continued torture you’re putting yourself through l...

Re: Re: Random Thoughts
BC that’s exactly it, it could have been a dream! Like, from start to finish it was just so high energy! When I asked the bride’s cousins about it, they said the priest was the best one they’ve ever had at a wedding because he stopped and explained each step to the guests, which apparently never hap...

Re: Re: Random Thoughts
i miss the days when this topic autopruned. I didn't look at it for a while, & now the pages have multiplied to the point where I'll never catch up. It didn’t auto-prune. It used to be Medium or me who would do it and I’ve just gotten lazy because it’s very time consuming to do it on my phone 🤷♂️ ...

Re: Amazing Spider-Man (6th series) #26
Idk Monolith, I think you’re being too kind to the writer here and saying “obvious editorial influence”. If anything, I feel like editorial’s impact wasn’t the death but the way the character rarely showed up. I don’t think she was shoehorned in…I think he always intended for her to be in the book ...

Re: Re: Random Thoughts
So I’m in the midlands for a friend’s wedding… I did NOT check the room I booked so now I have my 6’1 ass self somehow in a single bed and in the tiniest room I think I’ve ever stayed in… the shower/bathroom is almost the same size as the actual bedroom

Amazing Spider-Man (6th series) #26
So, I picked this up this week despite not really knowing what’s going on etc but mostly for the context of the next few months in the wider Marvel line, so the spoilers are only the bits that I understand. Mary Jane somehow has powers that the big bad needs to kill her for. She runs, the FF show up...

Re: Betsy Braddock: Captain Britain #4
Mono, I’d honestly be inclined to say that it MAYBE addresses some of your issues with the previous couple of runs where you’d said that you didn’t understand why Betsy was so intent on being Captain Britain. I can’t remember the exact comment you made, nor the exact point in the issue without havin...

Re: Betsy Braddock: Captain Britain #4
Is it just me or the part with Askani in the library seems to draw a parallel with Mother Righteous? There the whole library connection that collects others experiences wheres Mr's collects her own plus the thank you/please analogy. I didn’t make that connection, but I kind of like it! Something ab...

Re: Re: Random Thoughts
Can anyone recall, has Sinister ever been portrayed explicitly as left-handed in the comics? I feel like this is a big opportunity missed if not. I don’t know why, but I was about to confidently state that the only character I know 100% to be left handed is Polaris, and then I started thinking abou...

Re: Betsy Braddock: Captain Britain #4
I really liked this— I think often times because Betsy’s so enshrined in X-Lore, it’s easy for fans to forget that she’s from money, was a spy, and is a member of the Hellfire Club through blood… she could actually be one of the better connected members of the X-Men now that I think about it. Anyway...

Re: Re: Random Thoughts
@BC— DAMN. I mean I’d watch that
I think the only way it’s noticeably chatbot is referring to the O5 as diverse when we know it hits the 1960’s idea of diversity of “the leader, the handsome one, the funny one, the clever one, and girl”
