Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions

@Medium13: Right, well, it is just Destiny's theory at this point. Like Moira's mutant power is a defense mechanism that preserves her knowledge by projecting it back in time, causing the "reincarnation". But if her X-Gene were not active when she died (such as before puberty or maybe even while aff...

Re: Selene and Apocalypse

Selene was definitively an External in the last Cable arc that dealt with them. Apocalypse and Cannonball were not. (For Selene, I'd theorize her YOUTH is because of her power, while her immortality still comes from being an External.) But, to the question at hand: No, I can't recall Selene and Apoc...

UXM #137. To die in her old costume and not as the Phoenix, or Dark Phoenix. So...is Hickman claiming this isn't the modern Jean at all, but the '81 era Phoenix-as-Jean? EDIT: Oh, and this answer is my favorite: murphy leigh (@_murphyleigh) asked: Can you explain why you’ve smashed Genosha, House of...

Re: Powers of X #6 (SPOILERS)

Normally, yes. But they were very specific in HoX #2 in saying that, in Moira's personal case, things DID occur exactly as they did before unless she ACTIVELY tried to make changes. This isn't a situation where Bill Murray accidentally causes something to change by having the same conversation a sli...

Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions

Nothing more than what we know from Ink. Somehow, when inking tattoos, Leon Nunez imprints those tattoos with the properties or principles of the image they're based on. That principle is then controlled by the individual with the tattoo. The ramifications of this power have never been explored. Can...

Re: Powers of X #6 (SPOILERS)

Moira says Sinister created his first Chimera decades early. I assume that means "relative to when he's done it in her previous 9 lives". But things in this timeline shouldn't be happening differently unless Moira influenced them to do so. That was one of the rules from House of X #2: Moira is the o...

Re: Powers of X #6 (SPOILERS)

Questions asked and answered and asked again... I'm intrigued and relieved a bit by the ending. Being unable to completely avoid spoilers or commentary for the last 24 hours, I came in to this issue expecting Xavier and Magneto to actively betray Moira, putting her on ice (or something) to preserve ...

@Dr House: The Thousand was once Carl King, who stole and ate the irradiated spider which gave Peter Parker his powers. As a result, his body mutated into a hive-mind of one thousand spiders of various size and apparent genus. The spiders can kill and liquefy the inner organs and structure of anothe...

Re: House of X #6 (SPOILERS)

So, funny question from a compulsive categorizer: Do the X-Men still exist? This is similar to the Utopia situation from California, where a bunch of people lived with the X-Men but weren't, technically, members of the team. Is Proteus an X-Man now? Gorgon, Apocalypse and Sinister? Siryn, Skin, and ...

Re: The Dawn of X Direction...

Based on some of the new information we've received since the titles were announced, I think Fallen Angels may be the book dealing with lost and forgotten characters. One of the point made about Krakoa's resurrection capacity was the suggestion that they were seriously concerned with confirming whet...

Re: House of X #6 (SPOILERS)

Longshot was acknowledged as a mutant by X-Factor's Ship, back when it didn't allow non-mutants aboard. Warlock was considered a mutant member of his species, pre-Hickman, for possessing a "non-aggressive strand" of the transmode virus, allowing him the capacity for identifying other lifeforms with ...

Re: House of X #6 (SPOILERS)

Owl is not a mutant. The laws apply to citizens of Krakoa, not mutants. All mutants CAN claim Krakoan citizenship, but are not automatically citizens. Laws are what people ask of their government in order to limit their government's power over individual freedoms. Sabretooth chose to elect Krakoan c...

Re: House of X #6 (SPOILERS)

Regarding Creed, I presume his fate is going to be made public to the outside world. That makes this an example of nation-building from an external perspective, not an internal perspective. Yes, Krakoa is sovereign and we have amnesty, but we still are a good trading partner who can be trusted to go...

Re: Powers of X #5 (SPOILERS)

As we approach the endgame issues, here are some observations I've made after re-reading the series. Seeds: Apocalypse uses seeds...Deathseeds, Warseeds, etc. Apocalypse has a history with Krakoa. Is it that simple? Do Apocalypse's Horsemen seeds come from Krakoa? Technarch: Doug on Krakoa with the ...

Re: House of X #5 (SPOILERS)

Some years ago I remember reading about Cerebro/Cerebro's technical specs (which seemed impressive at the time but would probably be less so now) and thinking, "Why would they need all of that digital storage space for a tracking device?" Do you remember where it was, actual comic or handbook? Ther...

Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions

Rick Jones is on page 37. The Destiny Force can, basically, do anything. Telepathy, telekinesis, stop time, manipulate molecules, move matter through space and time, and so on. Fully harnessed, it's essentially omnipotence.

Re: House of X #5 (SPOILERS)

There are some timeline issues I'm curious about. Like others mentioned, it seems odd Sinister is just arriving now when they're been working off of his DNA database before this. Similarly, Black Tom was mentioned in the Krakoa background material as working with the X-Men, although that material co...

1) She hasn't done much since Mystery in Madripoor, but it does seem like she still possesses telepathy and telekinesis. 2) No. Claremont-ian hyperbole was that she's "strong enough to move mountains", but no other specific power level rankings. 3) With the X-Men being such an underground organizati...

Re: UPSTARTS MONTH: SIENA BLAZE

It was something that confused me as well, so a while back I did research on the release dates for UXM #301, X-Men Unlimited #1, and Uncanny X-Men Annual #17. Not just the month, but the week of release (as they were all June 1993). They arrived with UXM #301 on the first week, UXM Annual #17 the th...
