Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions

"Team Trouble"? Halflife, Quantum and Zzzaz are mixed in with Graviton on page 4 of the Archives. Azazel has no defined power set. He has a Brimstone Dimension based teleportation ability, like Nightcrawler, although he is also capable of travelling to the Brimstone Dimension consciously and staying...

Re: Wolverine & Captain America: Weapon Plus #1 (SPOILERS)

One interesting tidbit left out is the Sentry was also created by a project attempting to recreate the Super-Soldier. Could easily slot into Weapon VIII or XI.

Re: Wolverine & Captain America: Weapon Plus #1 (SPOILERS)

Team X took place in the 60's. Weapon X (i.e. Logan going into the Adamantium tank) occurred "X number of years ago", but ROUGHLY around the time of the Fantastic Four's space flight and public debut. I did my best to lay out the timeline here: https://uncannyxmen.net/character-related-topics/weapon...

Wolverine vs. Blade #1 (SPOILERS)

Hey Daytripper,

Did you know Dragoness was turned into a vampire and killed by Wolverine, apparently years ago? True story.

Re: Wolverine & Captain America: Weapon Plus #1 (SPOILERS)

Fantomex gave up his body for Professor Xavier to be reborn in Astonishing X-Men (4th series) #6-7. His mind is "alive" on the astral plane still, but his body was re-engineered into 'X'.

Wolverine & Captain America: Weapon Plus #1 (SPOILERS)

Hey, kid -- you like continuity? We got continuity. We got continuity coming out of our eyeholes. This book seems dedicated to filling in all the gaps in the Weapon Plus Program previously known. E.V.A. recruits Wolverine and Captain America to investigate Weapon Plus, fulfilling Fantomex's final mi...

Re: The Crowns

Plot hole, noun: an inconsistency in the narrative or character development of a book, film, television show, etc. The Serpent Crown is traditionally a singular object use to channel the power and summon the presence of Set. In Secret Avengers, the Serpent Crown is one of a trio of objects used to c...

Re: The Crowns

The Serpent Crown is an ancient vessel for the power of Set, one of the surviving Elder Gods of Earth, along with Chthon and Gaea. Set was banished from the Earthly plane eons ago by the Demogorge, and he is always trying to regain a foothold in our reality. The Serpent Crown was created by Atlantea...

Yeah, it looks like not only was the Terrigen cloud destroyed in IVX, but any and all effects of it including M-Pox dissipated as well.

Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions

It's ambiguous. The Folding Circle (or Children of the Pact) were born with the capacity for superhuman abilities due to their parents being exposed to the Wellspring of Power through the Temple of the Dragon's Breadth. At the time they were introduced in the 90's, the general understanding was that...

Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions

I'll be honest...Iron Man Annual #8 has been sitting in my house (well, houses) for over 20 years now and I've never read it because the cover art is SO bad. That's it. That's my only excuse for not knowing more about Willie Evans. Warwolves are supernatural trackers from the Wildways, composed of a...

Re: Uncanny X-men #20

Siena Blaze, Shinobi and Cortez could've survived Necrosha like Pyro, Maggott and some other seem to have done. The real outlier is Fitzroy, who died in an alternate future back in Bishop: The Last X-Man.

Re: Iron Man Reading Order

An issue-by-issue read order would be madness, considering how prevalent Iron Man was during the Initiative era. He was literally everywhere, from Avengers titles to Wolverine to Nova. The Marvel Chronology Project has him mapped out until the end of Avengers vs. X-Men - you could start there.

Re: Captain Marvel vs. Captain Marvel

Marvel Comics secured the Trademark, the right to use the name "Captain Marvel" in comic titles and advertisements (essentially). They created and displayed Mar-Vell in 1969, during the period between when Fawcett went out of business, in 1953, and when DC bought the rights to the Billy Batson chara...

Re: Asgardian Questions

That's really complicated. Loki made preparations to die before it actually happened. He bargained with Hela to be excluded from Hel and the Asgardian afterlife. He made a similar arrangement with Mephisto, I believe. This ensured that he would not pass on as traditionally understood, but would be r...

Re: Monolith's Power Descriptions

Generally speaking, the two terms can be applied interchangeably. The one place where they were used as distinct definitions was in an old Guardians of the Galaxy back-up explaining the difference between the powers of Vance Astro and Vance Astrovik (then Marvel Boy). Astrovik was described as telek...

Re: The time displaced original X-Men

Yes, the finale of Extermination #5 made it very clear that the O5 went back in time and became the younger selves of the 616 original X-Men. Young Jean used a time-delayed memory wipe that caused them all to remember their past experiences (as adults) minutes after the O5 departed and returned to t...
