Re: X-Force #16
Im surprised Beast hasn't suggested they use mutants outside X-Force and then just mindwipe or even kill and resurrect them after the specific mission. Maybe he does have some moral standards still lol He was already moving in that direction with his plan to use Omega Red as an unwitting double age...

Re: X-Force #16
Agree that this was (on its own terms) one of the better X-Force issues, but also agree that's not saying much. And unfortunately that spectre of incompetence did rear its head a bit near the end... not as badly as other times, but "biting off more than they can chew" is NOT something your intellige...

Re: Cable #7
Found this issue pretty meh. I'm not nearly as much of a fan as the art as das_boot is - some of its good (especially the faces) but a lot of the far-away stuff is pretty rough and sloppy at times. Like the panel of everyone standing on the beach*, or some of the panels in the first part of the acti...

Re: WandaVision, season 1.
I really liked episodes 1 & 2, but I have a feeling this is going to get a LOT better. The problem with the current format is that you admire the craftsmanship in re-creating the classic sitcoms for about 3 minutes, and then you remember how dull the Dick Van Dyke show is to modern viewers. The onl...

Re: Marauders #17
An alright issue... I'm fine with a bridge issue but it seems like a lot of the better stuff is being closed off for now (bye Storm?) and I'm not really feeling Verendi as villains or the Madripoor plot. Shinobi's parentage is not a hook I really care about either. I wonder if we'll get to see this ...

Re: Juggernaut #5
I liked the explanation I saw over at House to Astonish that Xavier is just being a dick. "Mutants only" being short for "mutants only unless invited" with the unspoken statement that Juggernaut isn't invited.

Juggernaut #5
Juggernaut and D-Cel bust into the superhuman prison, find out it's more than they can chew, and manage to get out by having D-Cel admit she's a mutant and claiming asylum on Krakoa. She goes to Krakoa, and Cain proposes a team-up with Quicksand and Primus (Zola is there too, but the text says he w...

Re: X-Factor #6
Yeah, Morrigan (or other death gods) make really good opponents for the X-Men right now given the whole resurrection angle.

Re: X-Factor #6
Interesting... not being familar with the Morrigan story where Siryn last appeared, I wondered if Siryn was just killing herself over and over on purpose (to summon Morrigan or something?) But maybe Morrigan is in charge of "Siryn" here?

Re: Hellions #8
Certainly wasn't expecting to see the AI plotline forwarded here, but pleasantly surprised to see it. Not a bombshell issue, but it continues along a lot of potentially interesting storylines and character bits - the anti-AI edict, Greycrow desiring to reform, and the Amenth effect in resurrection. ...

Re: Wonder Woman 1984
Finally got around to seeing this, and yeah, pretty disappointing. It didn't lean nearly hard enough into being an 80s movie, and so the 80s stuff that was there felt pointless. Especially the music. A kicking 80s synth soundtrack would've been the easiest way to make it feel more 80s, and probably ...

Re: X-Men #16
Everyone's going crazy over speculating for the X-Men vote. Can't say I see the point when it's all just wild ass guessing on how the election will actually even work - we don't even know if the 'parties' are just saying "these groups are eligible" or if they get votes, or one representative from ea...

Re: X-Men #17
Probably because Syaf (the guy who got fired after penciling X-Men Gold #1) actually hid problematic messages in the artwork for the issue, rather than just saying stuff online elsewhere.

Yeah, even though on got this on PC, I'm gonna wait until it starts getting patched up. Got plenty of backlog to keep me occupied until then.

Re: Juggernaut #4
TBH I keep forgetting to pick up this title in the store. I agree with Michael, the story is kinda meandering and I'm not connecting with D-Cel. I like to see Juggernaut get a chance to be more heroic, but I'm wondering if he just isn't interesting enough to carry a book on his own. Better off as pa...

Re: Marauders #16
Bit late to the party here, but I agree I was a bit underwhelmed by this issue. The last few pages finally redeemed it a bit, but it dragged getting there. Part of the problem I think is that this seems a bit repetitive (especially since we just saw Emma treating Shaw similarly in X-Men Black - I kn...

Just love it...so now I know Magnus and Fenix will come in and hate it lol I feel personally attacked  I liked this! (I don't know why that's surprising). Lots of good character moments (good handle on Brand, especially), and I definitely am keen on the idea. The X-Men have spent a fair amount...

Re: Hickman Confirms X-Corp Book is in the Works
Nice to have the X-Corp book confirmed, but doesn't sound good for the Moira book: AIPT: Also in front of us–possibly new Warren and Monet content, at least based on the Reign of X teaser image. Many X-Fans–including Rod Custerman–are wondering if the X-Corp and Moira series are still in the works. ...

Re: X of Swords: Stasis #1
The following issues were labelled "Path to X of Swords": Cable #4, Marauders #11-12, X-Force # 11-12, and X-Men #11
Issues labelled "Prelude to X of Swords": Excalibur # 12, X-Men #12
So it looks that includes X-Men #12, but not Excalibur #12, and none of the "path to" issues.

Re: X-Factor #5
Yeah, this was a really good issue. I do have some very minor qualms with some characters (as others have mentioned) but overall there's a lot of solid character moments that really outweigh any complaints. Honestly my only real complaint was some of the art got sized too small to really make out wh...

Re: Hellion #7
This was a lot of fun. Wells really writes some funny dialogue (loved the line about Nanny's egg-ship and why they haven't bothered getting it back yet) but the story also moves along at a brisk pace. He's never been one of my favorite characters, but I'm starting to feel bad seeing Havok so down. E...

Re: Excalibur #15 (X of Swords Part 21)
Ah ah ah, the betting odds weren't for who was going to win, but for who would survive. And since almost everyone survived, the Crooked Market Wager House almost certainly lost a huge amount of money and probably went bankrupt.

Re: Excalibur #15 (X of Swords Part 21)
Agree to disagree on Saturnyne/Brian (even if I think it’s reductive to say her whole story is just about banging Brian but whatevs)... I mean, the story itself ends by saying she doesn't get the "one thing she truly wanted", so you're not disagreeing with me, you're disagreeing with Hickman/Howard...
