Re: Draft Discussion Thread

This is how Magik84 decribed it in the old draft planning topic: I've been thinking of a X-Men Generations Draft where the team has to be made up of a character introduced in different decade. Thought it could be interesting way of separating out the characters. It would be shorter than some others...

Re: Draft Discussion Thread

I'm still up for running my draft.

As for other suggestions could be fun opening up drafts to other companies, even if it was just in a wildcard round or to see who could get the most obscure team!

Re: Exiles #12

Late to this as I've just read it on unlimited. I would say this book never clicked with me, there was lot of character concepts I liked but just somehow didn't mesh together well, I found the pacing a bit too frantic. Maybe a re-read down the line would be better. I will say this last issue has gor...

Re: She-Ra & the Princesses of Power

I agree the season 2/3 works better if you just watch them as one season. Love this show and all the designs! Even just details like Micah being shorter than Angela. I love that everyone looks very distinct. I will say it took me a while to get into it, it wasn't until the second half of season 1 th...

Of course I should have mentioned Gert, she is my avatar after all!

Goldballs, Micromax and Gateway are good additions.

Puck and Roger Bochs from Alpha Flight could be added to the list

Body positivity in Marvel

So I was reading the 2007 New Warriors on marvel unlimited...and it's bad, but what really stuck out for me were the changes to Angel and Beak. When they lost their powers in Exiles they still looked mostly themselves. Wheareas in New Warriors Angel turns into skinny, straight haired person, and eve...

Re: Best writer of each character

Jean Grey - Claremont of course made her the Phoenix, but I think I'll have to go with Taylor, first time I feel Jean got to stand on her own without some love interest. Rogue - I'll go with Carey, just to disagree with everyone else :p Iceman - Lobdell, until recent years I think he did most with t...

Re: Best/Worst X-Men Runs of the 2000s Part Deux

X-Men: Best: 1. Carey (easy choice my favourite run, made an interesting team book, then focus on Prof X and Rogue and actually having character development!) 2. Aaron (runner up, Wolverine & the X-Men was a fun book, I'd say it doesn't hold up too well on multiple reads, but what really makes him g...

Re: Reading in the Moment (and why solicits suck)

I read everything on Marvel Unlimited these days, so the six month gap, can make it even longer wait as you know things are going to get shaken up! In other ways its good as by the time I get to reading the comic, people have stopped talking about it, so I may have vague idea what's going to happen,...

Re: Avengers International Draft

Nice teams, I don't have an elaborate backstory for my team, I just decided they should be European based, so I grabbed a variety of European characters. For location I decided for some place pretty neutral so went for Sweden. I like Wasp as leader ever since the "Avengers Forever" mini, confident y...

Re: SPOILERS for Spiderman Far From Home

No, I hoped he would truly be a hero. They change a lot of origins etc. in the MCU, so why couldn’t he just be a hero in the film. I mean, just look at him. How can a beautiful person, that he is, be evil? Have you seen Nightcrawler? This took me far too long to realise you were talking about Night...

Re: SPOILERS for Spiderman Far From Home

I think Jake Gyllenhaal did good job as Mysterio being charismatic and then to change into unstable. And the first battle between Spiderman and Mysterio was amazing. Overall very fun film. I did think Nick Fury seemed off so the after credits scene made lot of sense. Also wow while since after credi...

Re: Sina Grace on working for Marvel

I think Comic industry is out-dated in it's weekly sales model, it would be good to see them support trades as legitimate. That said I think they did give Sina a chance, when the trades did sell they brought Iceman back for another series, and like others said many x-men solo titles just don't last....

Re: Story Elements You Do Want to See Again?

I agree with the downtime elements, those are some of my favourite stories, seeing the team having breakfast together, if there are newer characters seeing them bond with the regulars, (one of the early x-men issues I read, had everyone discussing Marrow's bone growth at breakfast and Cecelia Reyes ...
