Re: Eternals

I suppose we don't have a lot of details on story yet, like when it will take place, perhaps it'll be set before current films, with the opportunity of just 1 or 2 characters joining modern day MCU after.

Re: Eternals

There is a certain level of overreaction when talking about certain subjects, for instance I've posted my issues on changes on multiple sites (such as Sabretooth being Wolverine's brother, Aunt May being so young, Havok being the older brother to Cyclops, Psylocke not being British etc.) and nobody...

Re: Eternals

Any adaption whether its book/comics/game is rarely going to be completely accurate because film is a different medium, and they aren't just trying to appeal to fans but put together a story that movie goers will enjoy. The most accurate comic adaption I can think of is "Persepolis" which as Marjane...

Re: CW's Roswell, New Mexico

This has gotten a lot better, since they've developed relationships with different characters, lots of new dynamics. Michael still my favourite, he has great chemistry with everyone, liked him and Liz being science buddies. Also like that Jenna isn't just going to be Maine's lackey and see her team ...

The issue is X-Men Legacy 236 on the 6th page. Kind of looks like King Bedlam though that seems unlikely!

Character Glossary

Some of the links on the character glossary, jst dgo to "Forbidden You do not have permission to access this document" it seems to be avengers characters, so I don't know if those links are being built for mighty avengers site. Examples: Ant-Man, Spiderwoman, Valkyrie

Re: Marvel Phase 4 Discussion

There have been several people in MCU saying they'd be up for a female team, so perhaps A-Force film.

Also would love to see Ms Marvel and perhaps with some next generation heroes already introduced we'll get a Young Avengers or Champions.

I was excited for a Secret Invasion movie, but I guess we won't get it now.
It's not impossible for those to happen future. Like a breakaway Skrull group deciding to take over earth, they may already be here not knowing about Captain Marvel finding them a new home. They could still make it work

Re: Captain Marvel

Nu, I think the biggest moment for me was when he challenged her at the end (see every internet nerd crying DEBATE MEEEEE) and she just blasted him and said she had nothing to prove. The message I feel that was trying to portray is women don't need to hide their talents or knock themselves down to ...

Re: Captain Marvel

Was anyone else asking themselves why Fury was just now using the "only for emergencies" CM beeper (during Infinity War), rather than during a previous planetary emergency (like alien's dropping out of the sky in Avengers 1 or Ultron). I had suspended my disbelief until she gave it to him and flew ...

Re: Captain Marvel

So as no one seems to mind about spoilers now, I'll add a few extra thoughts. Milkshake I agree with all of what you said. I really enjoyed this film, and while overall it may be a standard marvel movie (which isn't a bad thing) what makes it stands out is those female moments, can identity with or ...

Re: Captain Marvel

I was fine with most of the effects thought her blasts looked good. I agree the suits seemed clunky sometimes in the running scenes.

I'm happy to see Carol comeback and kick-ass in endgame but nu-d your thought on having a curve ball and have it be Photon would be awesome!

Re: Captain Marvel

So I just saw it. Like others I don't think it's the best marvel movie and parts could be improved but I could say the same for many marvel movies, and I enjoyed it a lot so I'm happy with it. I'll keep it spoiler free. I think Brie Larson did a fine job, and is difficult to define your character wh...

Re: CW's Roswell, New Mexico

I thought in context of flashback, Alex is being quite dickish to Michael, as he really went out of his way to stand up for him in the past and was quite sweet.

Out of trio of aliens Michael is the one I am rooting for most.

Re: Top 5 X-runs of the 2000s

So talking x-writers in all x-books not just main titles, tough decision. Just taking one writer for each book, I still have more than 5: Matt Fraction - Uncanny X-Men I liked a lot of the Utopia set up, the X-Club, Nation X, there were some misses but overall good run Mike Carey - X-Men/ X-Men Lega...

Re: Doctor Who

I think it's like most seasons of Doctor Who, a mixed bag. There some episodes I really liked others were a bit meh. I did find it a bit fresher, I liked the "family" companions rather than young potential love interest who might drag along her boyfriend. Capaldi's last season with Pearl Mackie I di...

Re: Road to Infinity War: Re-Watching the MCU

So I've been slowly continuing my rewatch before Avengers: Endgame comes out. Only Infinity Wars and Antman & Wasp to go (and I'm sure I'll watch Captain Marvel more than once when it's out) So rankings updated since last post: 1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier Still number 1. 2. Thor: Ragnarok...

Re: CW's Roswell, New Mexico

I liked that Kyle and Alex got to interact with other people too, nice to see them have relationships outside of Liz & Micheal. Seems they are doing well making everyone involved in plot, I think Maria just needs more to do now. I agree it's likely to be 4th alien that killed the girls. I don't know...

Re: CW's Roswell, New Mexico

So watching a few more episodes, I'm more interested in sticking it out now, though it does have some issues! It's true like Lavettye say women are portrayed with big flaws in ways the men aren't, but that doesn't bother me as much as the romance stuff. Maybe it's cause I'm fresh off watching "You" ...

Re: The Best X-Factor Run

Difficult to choose, though David's run is what got me reading X-Factor, so going to mostly his runs. 5. David: “The Corporate Team”- X-Factor vol.4 #1-12 (hard to pick between this and "legacy" but while not his best work, it was doing some different things which I liked) 4. David: “The Solo”- X-Fa...
