Cyclops: Road to darkness (AVX SPOILERS)
Actually, they all seem to get sucked back in though, BC. He seemed happy for a while being a pilot in Alaska when he was with Madelyne, but it didn't last very long. Kitty tried to go to college and bartend, Beast is always coming back, same with Storm. I don't know if they're all masochists or adr...

Cyclops: Road to darkness (AVX SPOILERS)
Okay, I'll add my two cents... The excuse that most Cyclops supporters use is that he had no other choice but to give up Xavier's dream in order to save the mutant race. Basically, that after the events of M-day, the mutant population was so decimated that he had to become a firm leader (and during ...

As far as the Greyjoys go, they are one of the most dysfunctional families in the entire series with the exception of the Lannisters. I absolutely hate Theon. I have heard a lot of people sympathize with how he was treated and I also think the show has tried to put him in a slightly more sympathetic...
Danny, Agon, Victorian, Jon Snow, Arriane, Tyrion, Bran, Sansa, Rickon, and Arya are the major players in the game of thrones.
Does everyone underestimate the cunning, unscrupulous mind of a certain man currently at the Eyrie? I have my own theory of who may outlast everyone...

I recently finished Matterhorn by Karl Marlantes, about the Vietnam War. Marlantes is a veteran of the war, so although the story is fictional, he is drawing from real experiences from his time there. I can't imagine the frustration of being ordered to capture a hill of no strategic importance, lose...

I highly recommend Keith Richards' autobiography,Life, and Cleopatra by Stacy Schiff. It was kind of nice to take a break from fiction if only briefly. Life is just very entertaining and funny. I'm shocked Keith is able to remember all of this stuff, but obviously the drugs didn't affect his memory ...

Your X-Man's Fave TV Show
The trouble with including a TV show or movie in an actual X-book really dates the whole thing. I recall the New Mutants watching an episode of Magnum P.I.. Every time I read that issue it makes me realize how old I am while they've stayed the same age. LOL

Who is the Quintessential X-Man Artist?
God, I've loved SO many of the X-artists! Paul Smith, Alan Davis, Arthur Adams, Barry Windsor-Smith, Joe Mad., Carlos Pacheco...
but I'd have to say the three with the biggest impact for me are Cockrum, Byrne, and Lee.

I have read about 400 pages of Moby Dick which I never read in school; however, I promptly put that down for now, and ran to the bookstore to buy A Dance With Dragons. I've already started it, I've waited YEARS for this book to come out so I can see what Tyrion and Daenerys were doing while A Feast ...
Although initially underwhelmed by the show, I loved it by the second episode. They did a great job of capturing the essence and most of the relevant events from the dense novel. I can't think of anything major they omitted. On that note, I thought the twist they pulled on Ren...

In the X-Men vs. Avengers limited series, Storm was powerless at the time and expressed her frustration at not being able to pit her weather powers against his... but I don't think there was any interaction between them when the two teams actually clashed.

I liked Heimdall as well...gods can change their appearance into whatever they want as far as I'm concerned haha.
I liked Fandral too. This guy is a relative unknown who replaced Stuart Townsend at the last minute. He reminded me of Carey Elwes at times.

I enjoyed the movie. I don't think it will be as accessible to the general public as say, Iron Man... but for those of us who like our comic stories to be "way out there" I think it delivered. I thought the movie was at it's best when they threw some humor into it. I felt the delivery and timing of ...

So did any of the Song of Ice and Fire fans watch the premiere last night? I don't get HBO, but luckily DISH had a promotion with free HBO this weekend so I got to watch. Savant, I've never been into musicals, but I have been looking at some of the songs on Youtube. Just from what little I've watched, I instantly recognized Fantine, Eponine, Marius, and Jean Valjean. I think you're right. The songs really do capture the essence of these characters. The book was so lo...

I have just finished Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. I'm having a huge problem with her having a fleet of brightly colored jets that have battering rams on them... and an entourage of teenage sleuths living in her basement. Huh?
